Broncos go LB in the sixth
With their pick in the sixth round -- 183rd overall -- the Broncos grabbed Arizona linebacker Spencer Larsen, who was the MVP of the East-West Game. Suffered a torn ACL in spring drills in '05, which did concern some teams, but he finished '07 with 131 tackles and 15 1/2 tackles for loss.
He was a three-year starter who also started seven games as a freshman. Considered a no-maintenance player who will work hard be do the right things on and off the field.
Some teams were put off by his 4.94 40 time at the combine -- he got that down to 4.82 on campus -- but plays with good instincts and gets to the ball. Had 89 tackles and 10 1/2 tackles for loss as a junior.
