Back then they were referred to as "chicanos." I lived near the state university and never saw a policeman in that barrio. Anything they couldn't steal they would destroy. Pueblo is a continuation of the same crap, where nobody white better be caught trespassing on the wetback turf of the East Side after dusk.
The political correctness guardians would want us to believe that even the term "Mexican" is racist and we should be very cautious to avoid that term. Nowadays we have to say "Hispanic" as if they migrated here from Spain, or "Latino" meaning that perhaps they have some connection with the Roman Empire.
They bring their barefoot, cock-fighting, quinceañera, low-rider "culture" here, using Cinco de Mayo as another excuse for gang-banging, driveby shooting, and sub woofers, and have the cojones descarados to demand handouts. Forget trying to communicate with them in what's supposed to be their native language, because they'll look blankly at you and see nothing but a white face.
As catholics, they don't have the foggiest idea about birth control.

First off, the immigration process is long, expensive, and so filled with bizarre rigmarole and bureaucratic hurdles that is just an exercise in insanity. Documents get lost, have to be resubmitted at a fee many times, and then you get told that your fingerprints have expired. There are quotas and other hurdles that make no sense at all. Not even to the INS.
Secondly, go read “Confessions of an Economic Hit-Man”, you will come to understand that the US has been undermining the economies of these countries for years. One of the objectives is to turn them into labor pools for cheap workers that can be used to send work to, or …
Thirdly, companies in the US advertise and encourage them to come here and tell them how they will get free medical, etc etc.
Ask yourself this, who is employing them, and what happens to the tax supposedly deducted and turned over to the IRS?
If laws are being obeyed, then SS, Medicare, and taxes are being collected for each of those illegal workers.

I am starting with BURGER KING.
Had problems with my order in the drive up window. To handle those problems, the "manager" proceeded to handle my issues in Spanish. When I stated that English should be used, I got more Spanish and some nice little jeers. Long story short, I placed a call to Burger King and they are "working on it". Well I am working on it too. NO more Burger King for me. Ever. Let upper management know you do not accept this as a CUSTOMER.
The fast food situation is ridiculous. I dont understand how it takes 5 min to serve a cup of coffee. Place under the nozzle and pull a lever. Should be fast, as in the fast food label.

d. start the process of an immigration policy that actually makes sense.

Lets say you have a town with 3 employers and 100 citizens needing jobs and there are 95 jobs to go around. 5% unemployment. Lets add 17 illegal aliens who say they will work for 1/2 of what the citizens will work for. 2 of 3 employers decide to go that route and fire 17 citizens to hire 17 illegals. Instantly 22% unemployment. The 2 business owners make out by getting more labor for lower cost but the citizens are outraged because citizen unemployment has just trippled. Are the unumployed citizens racists because they refuse to live 17 to a household in order to hold a job that pays 1/2 of what it used to?

We need to work together to create a Comprehensive system which would put all the workers on an equal playing field. This is why the STRIVE Act guarantees that employers will have to pay immigrants the same amount as native workers. Don't overlook law entorcement. The cops are frightened, lazy, and CORRUPT. They will not fairly enforce our exisiting laws. Cops are generally a sacred cow (photo essay for the one who did not buckle his seat belt) that get a free pass when not doing their job. Cops are huge part of the problem.

At all of these fine establishments, I was greated by a non-English speaking person on the intercom. A simple order for two, was completely messed up because the employee couldn't understand English. I give up - not going to any place that has a Spanish speaking illegal on at the counter.

Second, it is illegal entry, as immigration is a legal process.
Third, since the PC can't figure out what to call people with Spanish surnames; I propose Hislacano/Hislacana (HISpanic, LAtino/a, chiCANO/A), or simpler yet...brown people. The term brown people is no more racist than black people, white people or red people.
The only good illegal alien is a deported illegal alien, REGARDLESS OF THEIR COUNTRY OF ORIGIN. This too is not racist; but the rile of law.

I don't know about the race card, but it looks like most people are not buying T's position. While the different polls are inconsistent, I haven't run across any in which a majority of the American people agree with T that we should undertake to deport all the illegal immigrants who are here.
Here is a recent poll result:
"A majority of Americans would support the idea of offering citizenship to illegal immigrants already working on their soil, according to a poll by Gallup released by USA Today. 59 per cent of respondents believe the government should allow these persons to remain in the country and become American citizens," I think the hate-filled comments such as you see here do influence people: to reject the comments. They are antithetical to the mindset of most Americans. There are good reasons to stop illegal immigration and good arguments for deporting some of those already here: none of them involve the kind of hate that is eating up people like T.
Perhaps T should modify his comments to read "people of my ilk".
