Bush’s anti-terror hypocrisy
Friday, April 27 at 12:59 PM

Mark D. Benner of Anton writes:

Soon after the dust cleared from 9/11 George W. Bush reemerged with a few pronouncements. One was that if you support terrorists or if you harbor terrorists we will regard you as supporting terrorists and get you. The USA Patriot Act even makes harboring terrorists a crime.
Friday April 20, a New Mexico court released wanted terrorist Luis Posada Carriles, the mastermind of the 1976 jet liner bombing that killed all 73 passengers on board. Posada Carriles was then in the employ of the CIA He was one of “our terrorists”.
He was captured and imprisoned in Venezuela, escaped, and found his way to Miami with “help” and was caught sneaking into the U.S. and arrested and held on immigration charges. He has been in a New Mexico jail since, despite efforts on behalf of Venezuela and Cuba to extradite him to stand trial for his crimes. Bush has refused to comply, and Friday Carriles was released on bail.
President Bush is effectively harboring a terrorist. He has violated his own word and laws. Again.

Bush should have included creating terrorists along with supporting and harboring terrorists. He has created more "terrorists" than everyone else in the world combined.

Did anybody catch The Daily Show episodes where they showed clips of Bush railing against the Dems for their war funding bill with a withdrawal deadline?

In one he was ranting about how we need to just the people on the groun in Iraq more time to finish their jobs...

Cut to a clip of Bush back in '02, saying that we can't wait anymore for the UN inspectors to investigate whether there really were any WMD's in Iraq.

In another clip, from days ago, Bush is fuming and saying that we all just need to be more patient...

Cut again to another clip... just hours before the first U.S. bombs began falling on Baghdad and Bush is glaring into the camera and saying "Saddam and his sons have 48 hours to leave Iraq!"

The self-serving hypocrisy of this jerk and the rest of his adminstration has been not only an embarrassment to our country but it as seriously damaged our standing in the world community which will endanger Americans for years to come.

Bush and Cheney should be dropped into the middle of the most dangerous section of Baghad wearing nothing but red, white and blue bikini underwear.

Planning and causing 9/11, then blaming it on others is some pretty big hypocrisy too. Doncha think?

Oh, dear Goddess, don`t let the 9-11 conspiracy people write here. Let their fingers cramp. freeze their keyboard, cut their electricity.

Sharon B.

On that one subject we are in total agreement but then is is really so bad to let the daycare kids play with the computer?

Posted by momma y on April 27, 2007 05:26 PM

Well, it might not hurt for someone to teach them not to keep holding down a key until it repeats all over the page; and perhaps, also to use ONE click on the "Post" icon.

Bush lies constantly, has conned us into an illeagle and unjust war for oil, spys on everyone and wants to controll our bodys. He is the true evel and we democrats must stick together and expose how he blew the towers on purpose. Many people see the truth but not republicns because they are the real unseers. When will they finaly wake up.

Keith,

Have you ever seen the movie "Scanners"?

Posted by Charles B on April 27, 2007 11:49 PM

thomas now all your post make sense. your source of news is the daily show. now there is truth at its best.
say good night Gracie.

Posted by on April 28, 2007 07:01 AM

And when you add Charles B getting his facts from a movies you reach a point where logical debate with the left is impossible. When your news sources were daily kos and moveon we at least had some idea where you were coming from. Never thought I'd miss those good ol' days.

Posted by KW on April 28, 2007 09:08 AM

KW,

What about "logical debate" with the right, when expressing a disagreement with anything whatsoever connected with this Administration is responded to by the mantra of, "hate Bush"; or by something such as "f ing liberal panty waste (sic)", as one posting today has it?

Posted by Old Grouch on April 28, 2007 10:07 AM

Kelly
Please do not label your opinions as the "true deomcratic view." There are many democrats who oppose Bush policies and programs with logic and reason. I disagree with many of them but do wish them to have honest and logical representation. Most of them can articulate reasons and opinions that are very reasonable.

And, Old Grouch, I think the RMN could at least add a bit more speed to the posting system. It often takes three minutes for a post to show and I have high speed.

Posted by momma y on April 28, 2007 10:44 AM

momma y,

So do I - have high speed cable that is. But here, the problem is more along the lines of constant "action packed" java script ads, and popups, causing breakup in typing, and loss of clarity in attempts to proofread. These seem to be sort of "timed"; and one just has to put up with them when they show up. (Or perhaps turn off the pop-up blocker, and put up with an endless stream of those.)

I've also had problems with double posting, because of slow work at the website, for which I try to apologize, and prevent them in future. But, it is the habitual double and triple repeats that some individuals always have over their names that were really the object of what I said earlier. (Particularly the ones with nasty remarks as the only excuse for posting in the first place.)

Posted by Old Grouch on April 28, 2007 10:55 AM

momma y I have reason and logic to and ive tried hard to inform people on the truth behind 911. The people who get it are never republcns but always dems and libs.that is why I am a dem and said what I did.How can you believe everything the repbs say about 911?

Posted by Kelly on April 28, 2007 12:00 PM

I see Sharon B's prayer didn't get answered after all.

Fleets of black helicopters overhead anyone?

Posted by Old Grouch on April 28, 2007 02:02 PM

OLD GROUCH,Seems more like your average garden variety democrat overhead.

Posted by Snarky on April 28, 2007 04:29 PM

Oh, come on, Snarky,

We average garden variety Democrats may think there's something to a comparison an old Professor of mine made to the Bourbon dynasty in France in the Post-Napoleonic era: "They learned nothing and forgot nothing" . . . or was that the one about: "You get a Bush when a less than mediocre brain is pickled in bourbon?" Oh, well, whatever.

That's why Jay Leno gets paid the big bucks anyway.

But, we hardly think 9/11 happened with empty airplanes, flying under remote control from . . . wherever the theory has them controlled . . . just being a sort of "window dressing" - or "special effects unit" - for a demolition project originated by Dubbya the Dimwit.

And we don't have to wear tinfoil hats to guard against falling for that one either.

We may be "f ing liberal panty waste (sic)" as one posting has it; but we're not all that ready for the padded rooms at the cuckoo's nest.

Posted by Old Grouch on April 28, 2007 04:58 PM

GROUCHY,
Why is it that the 911 TRUTHERS ,and most conspiracy theory freaks are exclusively democrats?

It's not lookin' very good.

Posted by Snarky on April 28, 2007 08:00 PM

If the planes were empty, then where are all th people? Do you think Barbara Olson is alive somewhere, just waiting for the right time to re-emerge?

Posted by Sharon B. on April 28, 2007 08:40 PM

Um, Snarky, it may come as a shock to you to know that many conspiracy theorists are uber-conservative republicans, too. Ever heard of The John Birch Society? Or maybe Phyllis Schlafly? Do you actually believe that total BS that the UN is going to take over the world? Or do you only dismiss conspiracy theories you don't agree with, and consider the ones you do believe in the truth?

Or, alternatively, do you not want to hear a cogent counter-point to your view, and only are looking for a mud-slinging fight?

Now, try not to think too hard; I know that people like you are not used to thinking critically. And that's not lookin' very good.

Posted by on April 28, 2007 09:38 PM

People need to believe that the government is all powerful, that they control the world. If the people know the government wasn't responsible for 9/11, then the government appears to control nothing. 1/4 of the population is retarded. If they want to believe the government controls everything with elaborate plans, why not let them?

"All I know is that the Bush twins are "NOT" virgins!"

You don't know that, stop trying to act like you aren't a virgin, and clean up your dorm room.

Either the Bush administration has done what no other group ever accomplished: keeping hundreds of people in on a secret that is never exposed by any participant or it is a bunch of idiots who could only succeed in messing up a junkyard. Now for the liberal anit-Bush crowd that's gottta be one heck of a choice.
Personally I wish Bush really was a conservative Republican but no way is he that.
