Tod Gilmore of Parker writes:

Senator Salazar was voted into office to help stop this administration’s reckless regard for the law and the Iraq war. Yet reviewing his voting record Senator Salazar has helped Mr. Bush’s policies. The Senator voted for John Roberts, Alberto Gonzales, and Condoleezza Rice. He voted for the Firearms Manufacturers Protection bill ( not allowing manufactures of firearms to be sued), voted against, Increasing Minimum Wage Amendment, and the Troop Redeployment Amendment. To further help Mr. Bush he voted for the USA PATRIOT and Terrorism Prevention Reauthorization. Then today he voted YEA on the War Funding Bill, which puts no limits on Mr. Bush’s Iraq war. I worked his campaign and donated my hard earned money. however this is not the voting record of a Senator that I can support.

Good that you can't support him because he is worthless.

But I do have to wonder about your topic/thesis sentence.

"Senator Salazar was voted into office to help stop this administration’s reckless regard for the law and the Iraq war."

He was? This was about the war?

I voted for this boob because the GOP put up an even more worthless boob to run against him.

I should have voted for "none of the above....."

As usual, the sheep are duped into thinking any of the politicians in charge care a lick about you or anyone else.

I might even register as a Democrat to vote against him in a primary. Salazar has been a disaster for Colorado.

Good Idea Charles B.

Salazar just goes to show that the worst Democrat is still much better than the best Republican.

IMO Salazar stinks as Senator, and did an equally smelly job as State Atty General.

Salazar was elected for only one reason: his opponent was a beer-company owner seeking his first political post.

Why Salazar says he represents my native state, I have absolutely no idea. He's Bush's puppet and Mexico's dream representative, instead. Sure wish he would go way south, and stay there.

Luckily, I feel pretty certain he's turned off so many of us that he won't be elected ever again....to anything. We'll see him at the Loaf n Jug, just another almost-familiar face we will try to put a name to, until we remember who he is. Then we'll think: Since he's forgotten us, we may as well forget him too.

Salazar is a pimp of oppression. He is the captain of the good ship, S.S. Amnesty. That is his sole purpose in life, to pimp Americans by exploiting criminal illegal Mexicans (cheap labor) for the financial gain of the Vatican, Mexican gov't, Wal-Mart, ag and construction industries, etc.

Salazar is also the co-pilot which created Colorado's Mormon Church faith based initiative. Dennis Brimhall, former UCH/UCDHSC President/CEO, ensured the construction companies owned by Mormon Church members got the lion's share of the contracts at Fitzsimons redevelopment. Brimhall retired. The Mormons rewarded him for his fraud, waste, and abuse of federal funds, by appointing him as their new Director, International Mormon Mission's.

Everyone seems to be forgetting one of THE BIG campaign promises Salazar ran on-

AN UP OR DOWN VOTE ON THE S. COURT NOMINEES-

Which he promptly caved on immediately after he took office.

Tod needn't worry though.

Once he works himself through his rabid BDS, and the anger that his dem party isnt far enough to the wacko left, he can see the progressive light and realize;

Ken will always back the important dem issues like:

abortion,

increased taxes for failed social programs,

amnesty for illegals,

control of the delivery of public education,

Islamofacist denial , ....

You know, the things that really matter to a true "progressive".

Salazar and the Dems have proven that politicians are all the same, if their lips are moving they are lying. There is little difference in the parties, what runs this country is the pursuit of money and power, always has and always will.

It is sad to even hear Mr. Salazar comment that he represents all people of this state when he has sold out on so many important issues. On illegal immigration and amnesty(yes amnesty) I wonder who is representing the colorado taxpayer and the american voters???

Salazar..New kid on the block..trying to run Washington..and exort A.Gonzales.
When he betrayed the Colorado American Citizen. What a fool I was .I voted for him. No clue he'd push for Amnesty. Handing it to them ON A SILVER PLATTER. I got 'punked for my vote.

I voted for him as the lesser evil; since he addressed the House in Spanish (and I am bilingual) I have a low opinion of him and will not go into a diatribe at this time. I do feel like I've let down one or two of my critics by not lambasting the Almighty Dumb One whose response to Jerry Falwell's request targeted the twin towers in NYC: truly, a faith initiative.
