Illegal immigrants
Wednesday, September 12 at 11:48 AM

Irwin MacLeod of Colorado Springs writes:

The American people and their representatives in Congress are the sole arbiter of how many immigrants can come to this country.? And we are very generous with this. A million or two are allowed every year legally.? You have? La Raza, the largest lobbyist firm for illegal immigrants,?and Calderon, the President of Mexico, with the audacity of thinking they are the arbiter of how many illegal citizens can come into this country.? THEY ARE NOT!? Calderon now has the?audacity to say “where there is a Mexican there is Mexico."? With 12 million illegal immigrants in ?the United States, it?would be Mexico.? We have to?close our borders and?our ability to limit the amount of legal immigrants.? There should be no illegal immigrants., Calderon and La Raza think it is perfectly alright to send 12 million to 20 million of their unemployed to this country.?Among those 12 million are more than 200,000 in our prisons costing the tax payers billions of dollars ?plus ICE is hunting for 500,000 illegal felons who are presently in this country.?? Immigration is when we have regulated the amount of?people who come here - our country’s immigration?policy allow people to come from 50 or more countries on the lottery system.? By regulating the flow these immigrants assimilate into the country - but not so with illegal immigrants.? They are coming across the border by the thousands every month and are becoming the majority in many of our states..They are arrogantly circumventing our immigration laws.?
Why don’t LaRaza and Calderon understand the word “illegal."?? No nation on earth can assimilate this many people or allow millions to ignore our immigration law.

Irwin, your thoughts are falling of deaf ears. those " representatives " in washington only see a new voting base for them and have ZERO concern about what you think or want.

why do you think calderon feels he can say the things he says without consequence.

wake up people, we need to elect an entirely new government and start over by putting the MILITARY on the mexican boarder then make it a felony to have a job here without documentation for the EMPLOYERS. if we did those two things say bye bye to the illegals

Things are starting to boil over in the LA area. For right now it's limited pretty much to the black gangs killing mexican gangs and vice versa. But there's a lot of "fight rhetoric" building that anyone thought to be an illegal should be included as targets since they're taking the jobs of inner city blacks.

I just returned from spending a month with my mom in Watts before school started. The neighborhood - better known as "the hood" -- talk is getting downright scary.

Never, NEVER has anything made me this angry! Where are the protectors of the LEGAL American population?

The Mexican farce of a president is allowed to dictate to this country what should and should not be allowed. We have illegal FELONS demanding rights that they are not entitled to, using children as pawns in their lawlessness. They cry that their deportation will cause the break-up of families, FAMILIES THAT SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE. Too bad that their families have to pay for the consequences of their own arrogance and defiance of our laws. TOO DAMN BAD.

Laws were written to be obeyed and it can't be a bigger insult to the American LEGAL citizen that we are the only ones who are expected to obey them.

Resentment is building to a level of explosion, and this government will be to blame. The Catholic Church is hugely to blame for protecting these lawbreakers, it was not mentioned in Irwin MacLeod's post, but they continue to hide and protect illegals. Those born and raised Catholic (including me) are leaving the church largely because of this. Don't break the laws of the church but the church can break the laws of this country. What a joke!

What a sad state of affairs this country is in.

Fresh - we need to do what the EU is doing about THEIR illegal immigration problem: meaningful fines & jail time for the illegal EMPLOYERS. Are you aware that US businesses can optionally verify the legal status of employees (which tells me that when XYZ company knows they are about to hire an illegal, they just don't check the database - knowing if they get caught, worst case a slap on the wrist)?

According to one article this week, since Colorado is cracking down on illegals, there don't seem to be as many of them. Since the Feds CHOOSE to ignore their responsibility to secure the borders, the states MUST take care of the illegal immigration problem. And yes - we have to figure out exactly how far we can go before the courts say it is unreasonable. I say penalizing the businesses (and individuals) who hire illegals is the way to go.

As far as Mexico is concerned, I suggest we adopt all of their immigration policies:
1) political speech by a non-citizen (even someone there legally) is grounds for deportation
2) one must be a citizen to buy real estate of any kind - and only natural born citizens can buy the premium property
3) after getting caught, 2 years in jail, then deportation (and Mexican jails are not so comfortable as US jails - in fact in many, if the prisoner's family doesn't provide food, the prisoner doesn't eat)
4) children are only citizens if the father or mother is a citizen (I know - that's a constitutional change)
5) naturalized citizens can be deported at any time (and have their possesions confiscated) for breaking Mexican law
6) many jobs and most elected positions are reserved for Mexicans by birth (in other words, Arnold wouldn't be Gov of California)
ETC. (you can read the constitution at http://www.ilstu.edu/class/hist263/docs/1917const.html).

Bush, captain, S.S. Amnesty (just another slave ship). His 1st mate is US Sen. Sahmnesty Salazar. Other crew members of a darker "hue", are Groff, Hancock, Sharton (Wal-Mart paid illegals lobbyist), Marshall, Milliner, Poole, Hancock, and Uncle Obama's Cabin (Congressional Black Caucus-CBC-comical blacks in congress).

Posters: Here in Arizona, the legislature has passed and govenor signed a law that upon the second infraction ( of knowingly hiring an illegal) pulls the business license. The law is set to go into effect Jan. 1st. The national chamber of commerce is going to challange it knowing full well if it goes into effect, states accross the country will pass simular laws. Of course they are going to wait until the last minute to file so it will drag-out as long as possible. Local business groups are already whinning. This is how to stop illegal immigration- elliminate the economic incentive to come here. We do not need to deport anyone. If they can't make money, they will deport themselves.

It's really bad in L.A. and all parts of Ca.
Here in Co its nothing like L.A.
If you want to see graphic E-mail sent to radio talk show host go to Terry Anderson.com The black community in La and even here in Co. may lose their community..to Mexicans and the only radio station they have KLDC we need to support that station or it will be the 10th mexican
radio station..as it is now (I've listened)
that the black community ..is so diversed that they can't call it their own anymore.
Except maybe for five points. I grew up a block away from five points, and patronized all the stores down there. All the old neighborhoods are not the same anymore.
Our country is not the same anymore!

Irwin, Nice letter.

Lets start by not using the term "immigrant". I reserve this term for people who have stood in line for the priviledge of being in the U.S A. and have done what we have asked to become part of the American fabric. Illegal and alien describe these peoples, and have in the past. Let's see that they reamin illegal aliens.

Nice heads up on the Mexican imperialism. Keep it coming.

I will vote for better education, better health care, identity protection. lower crime rate, to remove 250,000 sex offenders from this country, against gangs, for higher employment wages and benefits, safer roadways, reduction of third world diseases, increase of government services to citizens, for American culture and language, and ultimately for America. How? By voting for candidates who will enforce immigration laws and deport illegal aliens, regardless of party affiliation.
Calderon, LaRaza, and Mexico itself, are no more friends to America than is a tapeworm to its host.

" Let's see that the remain illegal aliens."

Mary, for once I can agree with one of your posts! Now the questions becomes how do we get the arrogant politicans attention on both sides of the aisle and make them actually do something about this?
I think we can agree there as well, they'll never listen to their constituents as long as there are special interests lining their pockets.

If you don't like illegal immigration, you need to read up on the North American Union, and the Security and Prosperity Partnership of the Americas. Both go hand in hand working covertly for the destruction of the national sovereignty of the USA, the repeal of the Constitution, and a bunch of non-elected A-holes telling us what to do, at the behest of the Communist UN. You ain't seen nothing yet. Go to youtube or google and spend some time finding out the truth about these 2 destructive schemes. Time is running out. You will NEVER be told the facts about these insidious plans by the mainstream media. And it doesn't matter if a Republican or Democrat is President, they are all marching to the same drummer with the goals of the New World Order as their priority.

Posted by Jay on September 13, 2007 09:43 AM

If people of all parties band together somehow with the common goal of no amnesty and stopping them from pouring over our borders and the Cubans from coming over in boats (if they touch ground they are American citizens) we might be able to stop it. There is a chance if we stood united as one America. We also have to fight against them having the right to protest in our streets. It is not right that we have to see angry illegals protesting for their rights. What rights?

Just a side note. Boycott Verizon Wireless. They recently gave La Raza $1,000,000 dollars to promote La Raza's imperialist, racist agenda in the United States of America.

Jay is correct. That is happening. Council on Foreign Relations, Bilderbergs and banking interests among others will make the U.S.A. an afterthought if they are not stopped.

Instead of running down Jay's statement, why don't you goggle "North American Union", it was started by your boy Bill Clinton.
You may want to go out and buy some Tinfoil yourself after you read about it. The new law allowing Mexican trucks on US highways is only one part of it.

Wow. I know that conspiracy buffs are MORONS. And this makes me a democrat, an advocate for illegal immigration, a child molester, and an enemy of america. Hmm. Should I really be surprised that conspiracy morons are grasping at straws? That is the only thing they are good at.

Oh, and I should "goggle" something to get information? I think that you meant "GOOGLE", (you moron,) but I digress. Oh yes, Google something for information!! Remember, everything that is posted on the Internet is true. They would never lie to you would they?

Now, don your tinfoil hats and slink back to your John Birch Society circle-jerks, like the good little conspiracy morons you are.

P.S. Jay, why all the name-calling? I thought that you were above that. Wait, that's right. You are a moron, so base inconsistency is to be fully expected from one with so very little brain power.

1:48, Your selling and we ain't buying. Pull your head out of the sand and look around your enviroment. Your attempts to downplay what is happening in this country don't work anymore.

Posted by on September 13, 2007 01:59 PM

What am I selling, moron? Obviously, not a bunch of John Birch Society BS. So that's why you aren't buying?

And, fella, let me tell you something: What is happening to the US is almost exactly the same as what was happening to the US about 90-100 years ago. There are still sovereign countries around now, right? And it is very easy to see that the US is in a better place than 100 years ago. But, just keep on squawking: "The sky is falling! the sky is falling! The sky is falling!"

And be sure to keep a sharp eye out for those black helicopters, since they are obviously after you. Morons.

I have a suggestion about how to reduce the numbers of illegal aliens: cannibalism. The ones from south of the border (the majority, in other words) are enjoyably spicy.

Posted by Tastes Like Pork on September 13, 2007 06:34 PM

A guy that is with one of the border groups helping the illegals was on O'Reilly tonight and he said that America is to blame for all the Mexicans being poor. That is so disgusting that they blame America. The liberals probably agree because they blame America for everything but that is just wrong that they can get away with saying stuff like that when we have been supporting their sorry asses.

Posted by on September 13, 2007 06:59 PM

Blame Mexico and Calderon/Fox dead beat fathers to their people.!

You're right. If Castro dies (or may be )
they'll come. RMN said poor Iraqis are coming to America. America's still trying to deal with all the illegals..of all nationalities.
Don't need a guest worker program or any more foreigners from any country. Legal or illegal..

Your comparisons don't work or match up.

Your trying to downplay the most important domestic issue of our time, our children's time and our American culture's time. Your still trying to hard sell and we ain't buying it.
You must be an ethnocentric/racist Chicano.

6:59, It's always America's fault. Instead of these poor countrys taking responsibility for their own actions (or inactions, for that matter), blame it on America!! That's the easy way out.

Posted by Bumpskier on September 14, 2007 10:27 AM

9:56am: Keith couldn't ever be as eloquent as I am, even in his wettest dreams. The abject hatred is just about the same (though not the target).

Misdirectors: So, the "most important domestic issue of our time, our children's time and our American culture's time" is the government of the US trying to coordinate with its two neighbors? What a laugh!

(sarcasm:) How dare our government try to make sure that things are smooth and coordinated among our country and our two immediate geographical neighbors!! Shouldn't they know that the essence of the US is to withdraw into itself and become an isolated enigma? Haven't they seen the desirable successes of Burma and North Korea? What's next? Starting a war half-way across the world on a raft of lies? Why can't we stubbornly mind our own business like we have always done before? Where do we get off trying to have diplomatic relations with anyone? (-sarcasm)

Look, the end of the US was supposed to be a combination of the League of Nations, immigrant anarchists and communists, and immigrants from south and east Europe. Now the end of the US is supposed to be NAFTA, the NAU (the stupidest idea I've heard in a long time), the UN, and latino immigrants. This too shall pass, O Little Paranoid One.

But now, I am an enemy of america, a chicano (no less!) advocate of illegal immigration, a democrat, a pedophile, and a racist. This from people who have no idea who or what I am, and they don't even have the help of a handle to try to gain a clue (even if they could never get that or any other clue). Once again, I am not surprised at all by these conspiracy morons grasping at straws. That is the ONLY thing they're good at.

P.S. The black helicopters with CIA mind-control beams are coming! Time to retreat to mommy's basement, don the tinfoil hats, and pray to the ghost of L. Ron Hubbard and the spirits of the World of Warcraft.

Oh, btw 11:33- Latino illegal aliens and immigrants from Europe are two different animals. By volume, by physical distance, by chronology, by historical backdrop. Yet you wish to lull the United States citizen into believing their is a comparision. I too am not buying your propoganda.

From Lou Dobbs on CNN:

Democratic lawmakers in Washington D.C. could attach two amendments to the Defense Authorization Bill next week that would legalize millions of illegal aliens. We will have a special report on the continued push in congress to pass bits and pieces of the Senate's immigration reform bill that died last June.

Democrats are enemies of the people.

Posted by Dems suck on September 14, 2007 02:11 PM

October Amnesty....

According to our friends at the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), a newly-introduced bill gives millions of illegal aliens what they want -- AMNESTY -- despite promises of tougher enforcement. As noted by Ira Mehlman of FAIR, "Really what it does is it grants amnesty to just about everybody who's been in the country illegally before June 1, 2006, so that encompasses just about everybody who's in the country illegally right now."

The "STRIVE Act of 2007" (Security Through Regularized Immigration and a Vibrant Economy), introduced by Congressmen Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) and Jeff Flake (R-AZ), is similar to the Senate bill put forward last year by Senators Ted Kennedy and John McCain. Kennedy even praised the Gutierrez-Flake bill, and said he was optimistic a new Senate bill will follow!

You read that right: we've won the battle against AMNESTY for illegals for the second time in a row, but the pro-amnesty forces are trying to bring it back again in the form of the "STRIVE Act".

Posted by on September 14, 2007 06:34 PM

September 14) During the consideration of the Department of Defense authorization bill (H.R. 1585) next week, open-borders Senators will attempt to attach three proposals that would give amnesty to millions of illegal aliens and dramatically increase the importation of additional foreign labor for American jobs.

Senate Amendment 2237 to the bill, sponsored by Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), is the DREAM Act, which would grant amnesty to illegal aliens that:

have maintained continuous presence in the United States for five years and was not yet 16 years old upon initial entry;

are of "good moral character" and is not inadmissible or deportable on certain criminal grounds or on the basis of being a risk to national security; and

have been admitted to an institution of higher education, has attained a high school diploma, or has obtained a GED in the United States.

In addition, amendments increasing availability of H-1B "high-skill" foreign worker visas and permanent residence for foreign workers and increasing the number of H-2B "low-skill" nonagricultural worker visas for seasonal foreign workers are expected to be brought up.
Efforts to add an amnesty for illegal farm workers (AgJOBS) to the farm bill (H.R. 2419) have been delayed. However, pro-amnesty advocacy groups have been promised that AgJOBS will be attached to that measure this fall and signed into law.

Lets start the pro-active movement and call your Senators now and tell them to vote NO
