Presidential library
Monday, September 10 at 10:33 AM

Charles Arnold M.D. of Denver writes:

I was a bit surprised to read that our ersatz commander in chief has hired a New York architectural firm to design his presidential library. Who would have thought that he would wish to chronicle and memorialize eight years of blunders?

READER COMMENTS

A fancy case is needed to shelve the most profound symbol of his Presidency and his favorite book.

My Pet Goat.

"Ah laaahk the pitures".

Hey you idiot, clinton already has a library. And he is not our president right now.

A Bush library, oh the irony is rich here. What magazines to put in, what children's books?

I know, the library is supposed to be about Bush, not what he reads, but this idea is priceless.

A great location for Bush's library and the '08' DNC Convention, would be SuperMax, Canon City, CO.

Is Monica's dress in Clintons library Sharon? I suppose yours is too.

Hey Keith,

Check out the movie Idiocracy I'm sure you will agree with most of it and no it is not a documentary

Hey 4:00, do you think the Bush library will house all of the severed limbs blown off of the brave Americans in Iraq?

If you want to play the..how will Bush be remembered "compared to" game, that one is easy

......worst....President....ever.

Posted by HistoryRepeats on September 10, 2007 05:24 PM

History repeats...you are true unadultrated moron. Lincoln was considered a terrible president during his time too...he had to make hard decisions. Those "severed" limbs gave you the freedom to type idiotic statements here today. And let me guess...definately not a war veteran, you probably play vidie games in between stupid blog statements. Moron...

HistoryRepeats. Good letter, Those lost limbs have not given us a thing. Not one ounce of our currant freedom comes from the dead and wounded in Iraq.

Angry and not real rational. Presidents have presidential libraries. Critics can find plenty to use from Bush II, but lampooning the library? Get real.

Did someone call?

Sharon 3:25-

Actually ,Bush is a voracious reader,to the tune of over 300 books a year.

And no, they are not childrens books.

Concerning "priceless ideas", what would be appropriate contents of the Clinton library ?

4:00 post wins with Monica's dress.

Posted by Get Real on September 10, 2007 08:44 PM

300 books per year is not, I repeat not a voracious reader.
Yet he can't seem to get through the briefing reports about Iraq....interesting.

Posted by on September 10, 2007 10:10 PM

lets see all of you ultral socialist liberal far left dumocrats who hate Bush but hold FDR and JFK and LBJ on plane so high. are they remembered for all the limbs blown off during their wars?
and the ever so what ever sharun b says
Those lost limbs have not given us a thing. Not one ounce of our currant freedom comes from the dead and wounded in Iraq.
no they are just protecting the ones that were established over 200 years ago. the same rights and freedoms you want to have but feel they dont need protecting other that so liberal suprem court justice to say ok you can have it your way and loose more freedoms to government.

Posted by on September 11, 2007 06:15 AM

I just wonder how many wings in the library will be dedicated to what Bush had to do to fix the screw ups from clinton. At least a dozen.

Posted by Keith on September 11, 2007 08:20 AM

Hey Learn...spelling counts when you're calling someone a moron. It's no surprise that you relate to this President in both stupidity and arrogance. Comparing him to LIncoln, what a laugh.

And for the anon. posters, tell me how limbs severed in Iraq have protected my freedoms? I seem to have lost freedom in the past 8 years. (oh, I see, if YOU don't mind losing certain freedoms, no one else should mind). Didn't you vote for this idiot because he wouldn't engage in nation building? Well, he's tearing this one down, while failing to build another.

Get Real, you're confusing George with Laura. Laura reads 300 books a year because she can't find any intelligent conversation at home. George reading My Pet Goat doesn't count, because the children were reading it aloud for him.

Finally, 6:15, have some coffee before you blog. You don't make any sense.

Posted by HistoryRepeats on September 11, 2007 08:36 AM

Hey Keith, identify 13. We're counting.

Posted by AntiKeith on September 11, 2007 08:59 AM

Bush reads 300 books a year? In what alternate universe?

That is about a book every day and a half. He can`t spend that much time in the bathroom.

Maybe he is reading all the books on what a great job the war in Iraq has done for us all.

Why there must be dozens of pro war books.

Posted by Sharon B. on September 11, 2007 11:36 AM

I just want to know what will be in the library, considering one of the coward's first official acts was to classify countless documents of his father's and Clinton's administrations, putting them of-limits to researchers. Laying the groundwork for his future crimes even then...

Posted by on September 11, 2007 03:55 PM

I assume the library will be a small one and mostly 'picture' books, perhasp just the 4 or 5 books George has actually read? Considering George's vast knowledge and intellect I'd suggest books like "The Wit and Wisdom of Yogi Berra" a man GWB could take speech lessens from.

Marion, good one. It would be just as funny if we Democrats were raising money for the Clinton Abstenious Center.

You got to find humor where you can.

Posted by Sharon B. on September 12, 2007 12:47 PM

It should be built on the border, that way we can plug part of a hole.
