Show some grit
So, in the entire history of the state Capitol, there has been one killing — of a mentally ill man with a gun — and now the governor wants to turn the people’s Capitol into a hardened site? I hope our legislators have a little more common sense, not to mention courage. I mean, really.
Jason Kolakowski, Lakewood
they have to have a safe work place. what would happen if they were is just a 'normal' work environment like the rest of us? you must realize that these elected officials are so knowledgable in every aspect of everyones life that the state would crumble if something happened to just one of them.
I say lets buy them all full body armor and by doing so they would be required to wear it every waking moment they have.
Its high time that these elected baffoons have a reality check. They ned to be subject to the worries and woes of thier constituents. No privlaged parking, no extra monies for rent and travel. Let them worry about thier retirement. Since they are so free to give away ours let them worry about thier social security check. After all it was they who are bankrupting the system with thier welfare programs.
If they are worried about being shot, welcome to the life of anyone who is of the wrong skin color in certain sections or major cities.
