actually the slow motion video was used in the Rodney King case to show he was trying to get up and beat down the 6 or so cops bashing him in the head.
Posted by on September 28, 2007 02:39 PMThe "noose incident" took place in September. The beating -- actually three blacks involved and three observing, but not participating -- took place in December.
The beating was initiated between the white and one black -- the one still in jail -- over racial slurs being tossed at each other. It had nothing to do with the nooses; according to many eye witnesses, both black and white, the subject of the nooses was never addressed.
The time line between incidences and the testimony of the witnesses are blurred over in the media.

That's where the fault lines of the coming election will be...exploiting black-and-white tension is way outdated, soooo 1960s...otherwise you risk confusing the issue, where conservative voters will wonder...who am I supposed to fear and hate, brown people or black people?

Even after the investigation and the truth came out they still play games covering it with selective information. If they can twist a story to fit one of their liberal templates,in this case black victimization, it gets milked for as long as they can get away with it.
Imagine if the situation were reversed.Six white kids viciously stomp a black kid (who had nothing to do with a hate crime months earlier) until unconscious, and continue until he bleeds from the eyes and ears.
The media would cover that story even more enthusiastically but this time from the perspective of the poor beaten black kid and the six racist white guys.
The situation was similar in the murders of the black students in New Jersey. Since the crimes were committed by illegal immigrants ,coverage was limited and Jesse and Al failed to organize any marches. Does'nt fit the template.
Thankfully the Internet enables the average Joe to get the whole story, whether the MSM wants him to or not.

I grew up in cities surrounding Detroit. All you hear is how blacks have been mistreated by whites. We are white, and when we were newly married we rented a flat in a town where my dad was born and raised and that I had great fondness for. Through the years it had turned into a largely black population. No big deal to us.
After eight months we were driven out. Racial slurs slung our way, filthy remarks made every day to me as I got out of my car after work, After repeated attempted break-ins and parts stolen off our cars, we gave up and moved out.
So the pendulum definately swings both ways. Gone were the days when we could enjoy downtown Detroit parades without (after waiting hours for a good spot) being shoved out by some angry black looking for some restitution for the slavery days (you OWE me), ethnic festivals were a good excuse for shootings, and riots became an excuse for self-expression.
We have been here for a long time now and family back there says it's gotten better, but the attitude that they own that town is still apparent. Attitudes that are not necessary and only perpetuate tension still exist.
In a debate on what to do with the site of the old Tiger Stadium, the largely black city council decided not to poll the surrounding area BECAUSE IT WAS TOO WHITE! The old Irish Corktown neighborhood (which had turned into a slum) has slowly been renovated, cleaned up, and whites were moving back, and these people's opinions were not to be considered because they are white! The article was in the Detroit paper and I found it very disturbing.
No one group owns a tree, a bus seat, a drinking fountain, a neighborhood, a city. The white kids were dead wrong for hanging nooses in the tree, the black kids were dead wrong for beating up the white kid, or anyone for that matter.
We are always going to have to put up with the likes of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.
Where were they when the Duke LaCross players were found innocent and their black victim was proven to be a liar? Didn't hear a peep out of either one of them, did we? But they were ready to hang the white boys, weren't they?
Even though we're into the 21st century the old problems are alive and well and not one-sided as they have been INCORRECTLY portrayed in the past.

Detroit had a black mayor,now deceased. This was around the 60's-70's I believe. He was a racist to the hilt. Maybe some of you remember the 20/20 interview years ago (we were especially interested as we grew up around there) where every other word had to be bleeped, the F word was a favorite. Under his administration this once vibrant city fell. Burned out shells of buildings remained from the riot of 1967 (and for decades later). He was nasty and crooked but was elected to several terms because the city was mostly black. They still have a black mayor dubbed by the city as the Hip-hop Mayor who is not much better, elected largely because Detroit would never give a white candidate a chance.
When my brother asked a black co-worker if he realized that the mayor (the now deceased one) was "screwing" the black people too, his reply was "I would rather be screwed by a black man than a white man".
What a mentality. That explains why Jesse and Al have a following.

From this article, "Several blacks were called for jury duty, (in the trial of Mychal Bell) but none showed up." It seems to me that if African Americans wish to be "treated fairly" by the system, African Americans must participate in the system. Or, is it easier to scream "racism", and not take any personal responsibility for the outcome?
