Gov. Ritter’s executive order
Tuesday, November 13 at 2:00 PM

John Ruckman of Lakewood writes:

What is all the silly fuss on the part of the GOP regarding Governor Ritter’s executive order? What the governor is trying to do is exactly what all governments should be trying to do—consider all the people in the state, including workers, businesses, retired and children in all his actions.
This is what our previous governor failed to do for eight years, he was wonderful for big business, lax to the point of often ignoring them on too many issues for the other groups. Note some of his vetoes.
This executive order, if read completely before spouting off, does nothing but allow workers and management to sit down and talk through their plans an issues. Is that not what good business and good government is all about? If it is not, it certainly should be. All this party politics practiced by the far left and the far right does nothing but cause bitterness and hatred, while accomplishing little other than to be a sop to that groups powerful and narrow sighted thinking.

so johnny with out the back door effort of ditter the workers and management could never sit down and talk? if you think that is going to happen now you should really get your head out of the sand.
look at all the union shops around and please tell me one where the management goes to the union workers and asks them what should be done. when business is slow and people are laid off if the union out there supporting the idea or crying that it is unfair. when did a union ever say lets pay for productivity and not just based on the length of service.
have you ever noticed that the first words out of the union works talks always beging with more money and better benefits? is the union willing to work with the company when it comes time to spend money to upgrade equipment or do they scream about the loss of jobs?
please tell me how this ex order will benefit me as a tax payer in this state? will people at motor vehicle now have happy faces and be helpful when there is a problem or will it be the same you are in the wrong line go get a number place?
