Sen. Reid’s Rush Limbaugh letter
Yet, where is the outrage? One would be hard pressed to find anything pertaining to such a letter in the mainstream media. It is reminiscent of Norman Hsu and the Clinton campaign scandal a few months ago, that is, if anyone even remembers it.
This letter has not been edited.
Whew, Its been a rough day today. Thank god that Brian Stuckey and the RMN was able to provide us all with some comic relief.
Posted by flimflam on November 2, 2007 02:23 PMNothing like physically assaulting the deceased beast of burden.
Posted by BO on November 2, 2007 02:39 PMHow does Limbaugh know about "phony soldiers" - or any soldiers for that matter - since he stayed home with a boil on his ass while his buddies shlepped off to fight in Vietnam.
Well, not all his buddies - Bush, Cheney, Wolfowitz, O'reilly, DeLay, Gingritch, Bennett & others stayed home as well. Maybe all those "patriots" also had boils on their asses? Maybe Stuckey does too?
Posted by drew on November 2, 2007 03:07 PMYet, where is the outrage?
Feeling lonely Mr. Stuckey?
Posted by on November 2, 2007 03:08 PMWell known pissant Stuckey apparently only read the revised transcript of Limbaugh's program, since he has bought into the lie that Limbaugh was only commenting on one individual rather than any soldier who was anti-war. This is typical for Stuckey, known for his verbal flatulence and lack of genitalia and brain cells, who represents the ignorant smegma that comprises Limbaugh's core audience.
Posted by on November 2, 2007 03:09 PMHmm, any adults in here?
Nope, don't see any.
Posted by on November 2, 2007 03:24 PMIt is hardly surprising that Brian Stuckey is still a mouth-breathing, brain dead moran. It must be true because I heard it on Rush.
Where is the outrage?
Posted by Oh, you know it is true on November 2, 2007 03:26 PMStuckey,
The whole issue was a bunch of political hogwash on both sides. Get over it.
Posted by Stan B on November 2, 2007 03:46 PMMr. Stuckey, it's ironic that in defending Rush Limbaugh you resorted to a tactic he uses very often: a kind of sliehgt-of-hand misdirection.
"attacking Mr. Limbaugh for telling the truth about the phony soldier, Jesse MacBeth."
You know damned well there's more to the controversy than that. You merely chose to omit any of the ample information that would undermine Limbaugh's explanation.
Do the words "edited transcript" mean anything to you?
Stan: Yeah, that may be some good advice.
Posted by Jeff on November 2, 2007 03:51 PMDidn't rush say "soldiers". For the educationally challenged, that means more than one.

I STILL can't believe that ANYONE would defend a pundit who dares to disparage ANY member (former and current) of our armed forces for having a particular political viewpoint.
Rush would surely be proud of his good little footsoldiers.
Posted by jay on November 2, 2007 07:54 PMUh,
Just an inconvenient question for those attacking Rush. I was listening to the show. In the context and in response to the issue of that criminal now in jail for posing as a soldier, Rush used the term phony soldiers. I downloaded the transcript and the audio MP3. I re-listened and checked the transcript and the audio. (I download his show daily as soon as it's posted, about 5 PM MST.
What part of the transcript and tape was edited? I heard nothing during the broadcast that I'd consider any comment outside the pretenders using non-existent military service for personal gain. Some began parading these liars because their message fit their mindset.
Please explain to my why I am not competent to remember what was said and what I heard as well as the meaning of both.
Rush can be a royal pain but if you really want to destroy him start implementing conservative political and social policies. He wouldn't have anything to kvetch about.
Posted by momma y on November 2, 2007 07:56 PMThe liberal rmn and post don't support our troops.Fact.Just like all the liberals.
Posted by Keith on November 2, 2007 07:56 PMjay, when are you going to condemn your own democrat party that DISPARAGES the troops daily.Anyone can see thru the support the troops but not the mission crap you mook.
Posted by on November 2, 2007 08:14 PMcruton...you mean "disparaging" them like trying to get them out of harm's way?
Posted by jay on November 2, 2007 08:55 PMRick shows us how stupid Democrats can be because he does not understand that there are more than "one" Phoney Soldier. Many people lie about their service and most of them are Democrats.I hope I have helped in educating Rick.Brian Stuckey is right in wondering why the media is not commenting on the letter the Democrat Senators sent to Rush's boss. The reason is that even the Democrat controlled media can't push the lie the Democrats are trying to sell the public. They know that the truth is that Rush was talking about soldiers that lie about their service [Democrats].The media know that Rush has gotten the truth out to the public so they would look like fools if they tried to push the Democrats lie about Rush. This is why they are saying nothing about the issue because they would have to tell the truth that Rush was talking about soldiers that lied about their service[Democrats].This would hurt their friends in the Democrat party so the media will say nothing on the issue.
Posted by An American on November 3, 2007 08:31 AMmomma y,
They'll never listen to the tape because they would be proven wrong. Somebody posted a link to the full broadcast tape last week and all you got on these postings were "it is edited" or he is "talking about more than 1 guy" or " he is slandering all of the troops" on and on.
You see it is becoming apparent that there are smear merchants on these postings who do not want and cannot handle truthful discussions. These people (both sides of the aisle) resort to slandering those with which they disagree or the discussion involves and who they probably have never listened to and/or read of this person in the first place.
They get this hatred of others by listening to and reading their brand of dialouge and establishing a sterotype of these people (in this cash Rush) and then cannot separate themselves from this preconcieved notion that this person is an idiot or wrong or slanderous in what they are saying or doing.
They are complete partisan hacks because they do not investigate the entire story and even if they did they still think it has somehow been edited or will find it slanderous no matter if it said. He could have said "I love all of the troops no matter what their opinioons on this or any other previous war is", and they would find a way to turn his words on him.
It is because of certain politcal organizations (on both of sides again) who attack those with which they disagree that the rhetoric has been notched up in this country and pretty soon it will come to a breaking point.
Posted by Jack Bauer on November 3, 2007 08:34 AMThanks Jack. I heard the original broadcast and since I automatically download the program daily I listened and could find nothing changed. I've dealt with many people who plunge blindly ahead (both parties, all attitudes) and when they run into an inconvenient fact they either ignore it, declare its existence a lie or pitch a fit and change the subject.
If I were a Republican Congressman I'd match as much of the letter sale total as I could and make a lot of noise about it. Guess liberals aren't the only ones who want to run away from a good fight.
Posted by momma y on November 3, 2007 05:27 PMI think the above poster once again proves that Democrats are stupid. Can I get a "shout out" on this one!!!!!
Posted by An American on November 4, 2007 08:22 AMNo, un-american, you can't, 9:58 is correct.
I bet you've got one of those yellow (made-in -China) magnets.

Posted by brad on November 4, 2007 04:23 PMI guess that "dmz "thinks it is bad if you have something on your car that shows support for our troops.Of course the only thing these Democrats support is something that helps the terrorists win the war.I bet "dmz" and his Democrat friends would like a "yellow magnet" that said "we support the terrorists freedom fighters".At least the color would fit what the Democrat party stands for.Can I get a "shout out" on this one.
Posted by An American on November 5, 2007 09:19 AMKeith and Stuckey fall into the same category except Stuck has more vocabulary. I am at odds whether to despise both or feel sorry for both or feel sorry for one and despise the other. Stuckey is quite despised evidenced in replies to his letters while Keith is simply denigrated, though, Stuck suffers the same belittling. You'd think they'd abandon this forum.
