The last word

Katie Couric seems headed to the anchor chair at the CBS Evening News. Both the New York Times and Washington Post are reporting that a deal could be announced as early as this week.
Couric would replace interim anchor Bob Schieffer, under whose watch the newscast has made impressive ratings gains. Schieffer, 69, has said he wants to retire when he reaches 70. The Post quotes sources as saying Meredith Viera of The View has been offered Couric's spot on Today but that Campbell Brown and Natalie Morales are also contenders.
Josh and Donna finally consumated their flirty seven-year relationship last week on West Wing, in a string of shows that is sending the venerable series out on a high note. Kate Arthur has a funny piece in Slate about TV couples who seem to take forever to initiate the inevitable.

cbs has sure had a bad enough run as it is, but now they're going to put this Christian-Hater in the anchor chair? And folks wonder why conservatives across the nation are abandoning the mainstream media!

Conservatives (especially Christians) are abandoning the mainstream media (along with science and, well... sanity) because they can't face reality without spin or science without fairy tales.

Wanna talk about fairy tales? Lets talk about evolution...the biggest fairy tale out there. It's not so much about missing links as it is missing brains! Yeah, I'll buy that...better than having to believe in a God!!!

For every scientist in the Biological field that doubts Evolution there are 115 who don't. Is there really serious debate? There are clear signs of Evolution everyday. Get religious nonsense out of academics.

Good timing Steve... looks like they found that missing link. Will this sway you? Would any scientific discovery sway you? Do you understand anything that doesn't have to do with silly superstitions? Will there be a similar discovery of the long lost book of the bible that discusses dinosaurs? Or are they a fairy tale too? Read for yourself, bible thumper:

If the Darwinist's "fact of evolution" were empirically tested, science would return to testing and peer review, as it should be. The "God bashing" truly defines what Darwinists are all about. Talk about "ceationists".....the Darwinists are the best, bar none. Religion is evolving at its pace. It's not driven by government supported grants, schools or the supreme court.
