How did illegal aliens get here?

Co-Conspirators Mike Rosen on 850 KOA Radio on Friday February 23, 2007 took the driver’s seat as usual in the ten o’clock hour to espouse his views on illegal immigration. The callers were predictably pro-Rosen. The first caller set the tone. He made the point that suspected illegal Hispanic aliens were arrested in multiple raids throughout the city and that the families, hurting from the loss of their mothers and fathers, deserved it because they broke the law. Then the show went on and on with typical input from listeners suggesting remedies to the illegal alien problem ranging from a temporary guest worker program to forced military service.

The big issue has not been addressed. That is how did 12 million people manage to be here? The answer is that they have been arriving for the last 20 years and the illegal aliens had help. The duplicitous contribution of the American people contributed to their presence. None of Mike Rosen’s callers would admit that Americans have their reasons to commit their part in the crime?

Americans have been instrumental in taking the good that is provided primarily by illegal aliens through services and products that they buy. The quality of these services and products are apparently good enough for Americans to purchase and benefit from. These services have helped Americans buy houses they can afford, purchase meat, fruit and vegetables and other groceries at a reasonable price, get work done for their homes or businesses that was deemed too trivial to be performed by other Americans. For the most part, they perform this work in long days without whining like most American-born workers who feel entitled to jobs and benefits. It is ironic that the “illegal workers” are the ones with the “American Work Ethic.”

The social security system has gladly accepted money from contributors with questionable social security numbers who have no expectation of future benefits. The IRS issues a special coded number to people with questionable social security numbers so they can pay in their taxes and get a mortgage to buy a house.

Now Americans want it both ways. They want to arrest illegal aliens. This, like the war on drugs, is futile and a political, a token effort at best. There are simply too many of them already here. Americans have provided temporary harbor and now we don’t know what to do about the illegal alien problem. No one on Mike Rosen’s show admitted that they are part of the problem.

In the current political climate illegal aliens don’t have much of a choice. Return to poverty at home, stay where they are like sitting ducks or go underground to provide for their families. The Republicans have to discard them to appear lawful. They started this whole illegal alien legislation drive to create a controversial subject for Republicans to use while campaigning. The Democrats have to discard them or face the wrath of the unions.

So who really has a plan for dealing with 12 million people that has merit and is not politically motivated? You won’t hear anything concrete that will actually work until after the elections. In the mean time the illegal aliens will be profiled, targeted, turned in, prosecuted, and deported to Mexico or wherever. What they leave behind are families with children who are Americans by birth right who will not forget what the Americans took from them.

Wow. We benefit from illegals being here? I wish someone had told me that because I haven't actually seen it firsthand. I think you're confusing the average Americans with the rich who look to exploit the cheap labor force (not all rich exploit, but those who do exploit are rich). I haven't seen the benefits of 12 million illegals basically milking my social security, taxes, health care, insurance premiums, etc. Add insult to injury, these illegals continue to DEMAND more, and as a result our kids will be more proficient in Spanish than English and the Mexican flag will be the prominent flag of the land. I'm ashamed of what this country has turned into, and I know my grandfather, who defended his country in WWII, is rolling in his grave; a grave he went to early because the VA Hospitals were low in money. The illegals do not have my sympathy. If they spent as much effort rebuilding their own country and holding their own leaders accountable for their actions as they invested illegally crossing our borders, Mexico wouldn't be as unpleasant as it is.

i havebeen reading on the illegal imigrants i just wish the frank would take his media camera and go to any welfare office and sit and watch all the illegals that come to get there welfare checks and leap money in their cadilac escalades and foryt thousand dollars trucks that our taxpayers are paying for. you say that they get free medical that our elderly cant get they burn our flags they steal and they shouldnt be here i se 40 year old illegals with kids just so they can get welfare if they werent here illegaly then they wouldnt have to be worried about being seperated from there kids so frank grab your camera and follow some of these so called poor illegals for a day and then tell everybody what you think but get your facts straight check your statistics

Frank, you need to get your facts straight before you write any more ill-informed opinon pieces of garbage like this one.
First of all, illegal alien mothers of anchor babies are on welfare, they do not come here to work. And there are millions of them here.
Second illegal alien children are not here to work, we pay to educate them. And there are millions of them here.
Third, on some street corner, or some parking lot, in just about every town and city in this nation, illegal alien men gather to solicit work as "day laborers", for CASH, which is illegal in itself. Few of these illegal alien workers are ever picked up. At one such designated "day labor site" in California up to 400 of these unemployed illegal aliens gathered every single day, maybe 20 actually got picked up by some criminal contractor, the rest just hang around drinking beer, defacing nearby properties with graffiti, harrassing schoolgirls and local women who passed by, urinated and deficated in public, broke into vehicles and nearby buildings, damaged private property, and on a number of occasions molested and assalted citizens who were unfortunate enough to have had to pass within a few blocks of this nightmare. No employer is responsible for "importing" these illegal aliens, they took it upon themselves, made a premeditated decision to pay a criminal coyote to smuggle them here illegally, and they are alone responsible for being here.
Forth, every single employee in this nation is required by law to pay taxes on their income. Most illegal aliens work for cash, compounding the crimes they are guilty of for entering the USA illegally and living here illegally.
Illegal aliens are NOT issued legal United States social security numbers, and you are WRONG when you write that illegal aliens are paying into our social security and paying taxes, because they ARE NOT.
If any illegal aliens are paying social security, they are using STOLEN social security numbers (and this includes all numbers "made up", "borrowed", and "bought"), and THAT is a FELONY, for which the penalty is 25 years in federal prison, and a $250,000.00 fine.
Next time, Frank, do your homework.
We do not need illegal aliens in this nation, we do not want illegal aliens in this nation, and most of all we want you, Frank, and all those like you, to stop pretending that all illegal aliens are some poor innocent, hard workers, who just "come here to work", when we all know that ALL illegal aliens are criminals, the very fact that they are here illegally is proof that they are nothing more than liars and thieves, with no respect for our laws, no respect for our border, no respect for the citizens of this nation, the history of this nation, the flag of this nation, or this nation at all.

Hey Gary? Why don't you go spin your little soliloquy to Donnie Young's widow and children? I'm sure she would love to hear how the premeditated murder of her husband by an illegal Mexican working at Hickenlooper's restaurant with a phony ID and a stolen social security number is the fault of greedy Americans.

Was it greedy Americans who helped Garcia-Gomez escape to Mexico? Was it greedy Americans who refused to extradite him unless the charges were reduced?

I am one of these Americans who is sickened by watching his country being sold down the river by multinational corporations and an irresponsible government that refuses to enforce the laws of this nation. But don't blame ordinary Americans - we're just the ducks in the shooting gallery.

How do you know they are all workers? There are thousands upon thousands of illegal gang members bringing in tons of dope and distributing it, of all varieties, daily across our nation. I would bet good money that EVERY illegal alien family from Mexico has at least one person who deals drugs in their extended family. It is the culture. Illegal aliens deserve nothing but to go back to their place of origin and stand in line like all legal immigrants have.

many of these illegal workers abandoned wifes and children, and left whole villages without men to support them. they have no desire to return, there are no rules or laws here that affect them no licenses, no insurance, no regard for laws, those who cannot care for there children are to be shamed not rewarded.
