Michelle Obama takes a smaller stage
They'll probably get some real work done. But at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Delegate Service Day was all about the presentation. A mobile stage was set up in Curtis Park for Michelle Obama to speak before she and a group of volunteers began packing boxes of treats for soldiers overseas.
It was a late addition to the program; the original service project in Curtis Park, to go on in later in the day, is planting trees after delegates show up on several buses.
Before Obama was there, though, there was the all-important Arranging of the Press. If a bunch of Slim Jims goes to Iraq and nobody films it, did it really happen? At this day of service, there were two corrals with camera platforms and wiring: One for the speech and one to watch the Obama clan pack boxes.
There was the Obama soundtrack, beginning of course with U2's Beautiful Day.
Obama took the stage looking a little tired but without sarcasm as she crowed, "This is the best thing to be doing at 7 o'clock in the morning, isn't it?"
Again, she called on the example of her parents. They taught their children "You are a good guest," she said. "They (the volunteers) are gonna be hopefully leaving this place a little better off than when we came."
Across the park, rows of tables had been set up for volunteers, most of them not delegates but representatives of the Iraq and Afghanistans Veterans of America organization, to pack boxes. The nameless did, while the named took their positions in the front row, in front of the line of cameras. Barack Obama's sister, Maya Setoro-Ng, stood alongside Michelle Obama's brother, Craig Robinson; her mother, Marian Robinson; and Colorado First Lady Jeannie Ritter. Not a box moved as people chattered. When the Obama daughters, Malia and Sasha, came over, they started packing until their uncle told them to stand by him.
Finally, Michelle Obama made her way to the packing table, and suddenly things flew to life. It was a tableau worthy of many a director, although in this case, no one had to tell people their cues. Once she showed up, it seemed, the curtain had lifted, backstage chatter stopped, and the real work began.

I feel Open Web site Explorer is great (and I just have the cost-free edition - am attempting to generate some dollars to be in a position to pay for the upgrade). It constantly shows links that Yahoo site explorer doesn't, which can be quite practical (Yahoo after all seriously isn't Google but we are all unhealthily dependent on their device).I wish you the best of luck. I do think your future is in offering excellent tools that other people do not have.
