Signs of Spring

The long playoff season is upon us, so I started thinking about how that affects the home life. I do that often in my cartoons because I just think we take sports way too seriously and it sometimes impacts the way we relate at home. Anyway, this is the rough I did about it all.

The Masters always has a way of bringing out the golfer in us all. Coupled with the great sunny weather of the last few days, it makes one downright itchy to get out on the course. I used to play golf. Now I can't imagine spoiling a perfectly beautiful day with me swinging a stick at a little white ball. It just wasn't me.
I've told people that by the time the athletic gene pool in our family got to me, it was empty. Those who have had the misfortune of playing a round of golf with me can attest to that.
I want to thank everyone for the comments you have been leaving, both good and bad. I just want to ask you, though, if you feel compelled to leave a comment make it a clean one. I have a lot of students from schools who read my cartoons and possibly this blog. It just lacks class if all you leave is some obscene mutterance that only a bozo with the IQ of a two by four would write. Thanks.

I'm still enjoying your comments about your process as you put the daily toon together...I agree completely about both spring and golf!
And also about the intelligence level of last Friday's posts...

I simply wrote off last Friday's posted comments as being from a disgruntled CU graduate student showing their articulated writing skills.
