The Terrell Owens show

drew0930toon.gif

In yesterday's blog I said how fortunate we all were that Terrell Owens didn't end up in Denver. If that would have been the case, you could substitute the Broncos logo for the one above. What a mess Owens is. I prefer players who do their jobs with some semblance of humility. Players like Rod Smith. Emmitt Smith. Shaun Alexander. Guys like that. Owens will self-destruct someday. And it won't be a pretty picture when it happens.

Living around Dallas it's easy to say that T.O. is the focal point of Cowboy fans here. But Owens isn't the problem. It's the media's total obsession with him. A local radio show speculated that had the Governor of Texas was assanated, the local coverage still would have led with Owens. It's like trying to put out a fire with gasoline.

Arnie and his strange comments haha.

I agree with Dwayne, Owens did some questionable things, but if we think about them, they weren't really that bad. I remember when Romanowski admitted using steroids, and injured a lot of players for no reason--no one made such a big fuss about it, and many Denver fans still admire him (which is odd to me, they say that he was great on the field, but look at TO, he is incredible on the field)

There have been players who did not attend practices in summer because of their contracts, but no one got near the attention Owens got. I dont think he is distracting the media, I think the media is distracting him

If he plays it right in the next few years he could be another MJ.

He won't, but he could if he wanted to.

I hate TO. I'm so glad he isn't in Denver.
