Bozos of Blitz # 6

Remember when the Raiders used to be good enought to hate?Guys like Jack Tatum, Ben Davidson, and Howie Long. Now they are just pathetic. Sure, they could beat the Broncos Sunday night. They just might, with the Broncos coming off of a short week and facing a weak opponent like the Raiders after such a big win on Monday night. But that doesn't mean the Raiders aren't one of the worst teams in the NFL. They got that way because their owner has seen the game pass him by. And as long as Al Daivs runs the Raiders you can bet he's going to run them in the ground.

I began this blog in April. It's fun and I look forward to it every day. But I need some help. I want to make this a blast for you all to look at and read daily. So I'd like to invite some feedback from you. What would you like to see me do in this blog? Would you like to see more of my creative process each day, like sketch books and notes and stuff. Want more commentary from me? Less? Do you want me to write more about cartooning and my influences, the books and movies and things I find creativiely stimulating . Or more about sports? Would the ability to download win, lose & Drew sceensavers or desktops be of interest to you? Would colorized cartoons make a difference ? I'd love to start to get some fthoughts from all of you so in the months ahead i can begin to make some changes to make this better. The comments we get daily from all of you are picking up in volume and, of course, I love to hear from you. I'd love to hear more. So tell me. Help me think out of the box a little in this new medium. I want this blog be be great and for you to enjoy it everyday because you take the time to click on it. So drop me a comment, OK.

Your insights on the reasons behind a particular cartoon and/or your opinions on local sports management are very helpful. You have made it even more enjoyable to look at your work.

The idea of a screen saver is clever.

I have really enjoyed your blog. It has been facinating to read your thoughts behind each cartoon. It has made your cartoons which I have loved for years more enjoyable. I would absolutally love to be able to download a screen saver!

I like to see your sketches and where you get your ideas. It's also interesting to see the ideas you don't use and why you picked something else.

I love to see the creative process. I like that you have the toon, and a click link if you only want to see the toon you don't have to get the background. I also agree with a previous blogger about seeing the process evolve and why you might not have used a toon. I also think that the toons you have time, should be in color (ie the bozos of blitz). I understand the bronco game toons you are under a very tight deadline, so color would be inpractical. Also would love to see screensavers of your tributes, and favorites of the past. I enjoyed you sharing your thoughts in moving your workspaces.

I agree with all below. But I think for you to keep it creative, I think each drawing should have your best feeling as far as what and/or how you would like to bring it out. In other words, I don't think you need to do the same thing on every drawing. You need to see how you "feel" and determine your motivation as to how you want to bring it out. One day you may feel a drawing should need more in depth description and the next more of the sketched ideas. This way you don't pin yourself down to a script. Then on that one particular day you don't have too much to add to a drawing, you don't have to feel pressured. Ohhh and Arnie is pretty funny too. But I think everything you have done so far has been great! Maybe add a few of your own blog comments during the course of the day if you have time. Keep up the great work!
