They are the Raiders of the Lost hope. A mere shell of their former selves. An embarrassment to John Madden and kenny Stabler. Face it. The Broncos-Raiders rivalry just ain't what it used to be.

Yesterday I told you I'm looking for your input. I want to make this blog a blast for you all to look at and read daily. So I need some suggestions from you. What would you like to see me do in this blog? Would you like to see more of my creative process each day, like sketch books and notes and stuff. Want more commentary from me? Less? Do you want me to write more about cartooning and my influences, the books and movies and things I find creativiely stimulating . Or more about sports? Would the ability to download win, lose & Drew sceensavers or desktops be of interest to you? Would colorized cartoons make a difference ? I'd love to start to get some thoughts from all of you so in the months ahead I can begin to make some changes to make this better. The comments we get daily from all of you are picking up in volume and, of course, I love to hear from you. I'd love to hear more. So tell me. Help me think out of the box a little in this new medium. I want this blog be be great and for you to enjoy it everyday because you take the time to click on it. So drop me a comment, OK. Thanks

Don't you think there is a good chance the Broncos could lose this one...for a couple of reasons.

First - I think the Raiders will have many holes to run through since our defense will be rolling on the ground laughing at what's across from them.

Second - Isn't Mike Shanahan considering using the Cheerleaders so as to give the guys another week off.

Thank you for your art! WL&D is a great vehicle to communicate happenings in Denver and world sports. You have a distinct voice (hand) in capturing the key elements of stories.

I've enjoyed and would love to see more of your sketches and more from you about the creative process you use to make each cartoon.

Drew, Personally I like to hear your thoughts once the toon is created. The roughs were interesting, but kinda got lost when your editor thought something else was funnier or something similar.

I like it when you see the different side of sports that create a spirited discussion. Nothing is ever so boring as to everyone having the same opinion.

While I am not a great soccer fan either, I think it would be an interesting challenge to see humor in a sport you dont like. How about bowling?

Keep up the good work and keep the creative process going to generate "spirited discussions"...

This cartoon appeared in the paper outside my hotel room door Saturday morning; the day of the Tech/Colorado game, which I was in town for. I apparantly was mistaken in presuming the "Raiders" referred to Texas Tech. If it wasn't pretty much true, and actually turning out to be amazingly prescient, I would have been a little unhappy with you. As it were though... I'm afraid it does apply to Tech. The cartoon is pretty funny, whomever it applies to.
