The Broncos woes

The Broncos offense is at a crossroads. They must improve quickly to be a contender. Can Jake get this team over the hump? Only time will tell. If he can't the Broncos will make an early exit from the playoffs. And the Jay Cutler era will begin sooner than we ever imagined.

I am a true colorado native. I am a life time bronco fan also. I am so tired of all this "when is cutler going to play". Everyone in colorado needs to back off. Plummer is 200% better then when he was in arizona. He is not the only reason the offense is not performing great. Plus you can see it when the broncos get the lead Shanahan is going with more runs, its called conservative play. Our defense is the best the NFL has ever seen. Back off Plummer and be a true fan, not a fair weather like all these idiots in colorado today(californians, texans, east coasters). You are all fair weather fans. I never doubt the broncos, best avg above 500 season to season out of any NFL team in history.

I am not sure if this is the correct area, but in looking at Friday's cartoon regarding the Bronco's offense, my funny bone was struck by the potential of the offense to be nicknamed, "Dear John".

My wife suggested I enter it.

I like the 'Orange Slush' for the broncos offense - since they seemingly slip and slosh on their own juice.

A comment like Orange Slush only indicates that you are a raiders fan. Only true broncos fans use the word Orange for the original Orange Crush defense baby. If you ever played sports you know that Defense wins games. Even if the offense isnt playing the way it should. When they make the playoffs again this year all you fair weather fans will be saying the broncos are great, plummer is great and you will be supporting them the whole way. Shut up and support your team or dont. The raiders are looking for some more fair weather fans.

My suggested nickname is 'The Heimerdinger Hush' named for the effect the offense has on the Mile high fans.

A "fan" is someone who supports of a team. It has nothing to do with that team's number of above-500 seasons, that team's great play, or that team's poor play. A fan is someone who supports the team even when they lose, or when one part of the team plays badly. Ignoring the offense's woes does not mean you are a "fan", it means you are wearing rose-colored glasses. Pointing out their offensive offense doesn't mean you are a non-fan, it means you are honest. That being said, the reason why so many people are worried about the offense is because they ARE fans. Denver's offense is doing badly, and fans notice.

I 'm not what you call a Broncos fan but have watched several of the games this year. How about the Goalless Geldings for a name for the offense? They do seem to have a bit of trouble getting that ball pass the goal line.

It's halftime, and he looks as bad as ever. I don't even care if the team wins. I'm very much enjoying his demise. The Broncos could win every game the rest of the regular season and it still won't matter. When the big game counts (i.e. the playoffs) he will continue to choke.

The Broncos played a weak team. They have NO OFFENSE. PERIOD. Mr. Manning will expose the Broncos defense next weekend. Look for trhe Colts to lay about 45 points on the scoreboard. Maybe more.
Denver has been either playing teams who have no offense (Oakland, Cleveland, Baltimore) or have played banged up teams (Chiefs and Patriots). If the Pats had had a healthy roster that early game would have been much different. The Chiefs were forced to go with a backup QB. The Broncos have been VERY LUCKY with their schedule. Manning will restore order. Bank on it. The Broncos defense has yet to be tested one game this whole season. Now it finally will be.
