The Schottenheimer Shuffle

Hard to believe the Chargers waited this long to make this move. I've got to think that they either have a replacement in mind or they have completely lost their minds. I also think this is probably Marty's Swan song, though the NFL seems to love recycling old coaches.

My schedule the rest of the week will be different. I'm taking a few days off to get some things done before spring training. It seems that all this snow combined with some indoor painting projects and the NFL playoffs have left me little time to get those daily life maintenence things done. I'm really good at making a deadline for a daily cartoon just don't ask me when the last time I had the oil changed or the furnace filter replaced. Things like that seem to pile up until I have a huge mess on my hands. So I won't have another cartoon until Friday the 16th of February and then I'll have another one on Saturday the 17th. Until then take care.

What do the 2-14 Raiders and the 14-2 Chargers have in common?

You win the Super Bowl, or you don't. That's the measuring factor.

Schottenheimer may have had the worst luck of any coach I've ever seen. He had Denver beat two straight years in the AFC title game and looses to Elway going 98 yards and then Ernest Byner fumbling on the one. He had New England stopped and beat before fumbling the ball back to them. This guy has had some unbelievable bad
