Spring Training 2007 Day 5

I did quite a few rough sketches today in the stands. FSN filmed a segment to air on March 22. This Rockies team has been a bit difficult for me to get a read on. Perhaps that is because they have fewer glaring weaknesses than before. Overall, they look to me as if they will be pretty fun to watch this season. Guys like Holliday and Hawpe are maturing, and Helton has played very well the past few days. I like their spirit, too, which they exhibited in yesterday's game against the Padres. There is much more fight in the dog, so to speak. That bodes well for 2007.

    I'd say....

Enough of the Spring training toons already.....

    How about something different.

Superb cartoons lately. Regarding how many Spring Training toons is too many, I think it makes sense for you to keep doing them as long as you’re at Hi Corbett. After all, art imitates life, so for the duration of your time in Tuscon, Spring Training seems to be a pretty obvious source of inspiration. In addition, thanks for posting your roughs, as there's some real gems in there, and I would suspect, likely some material for future toons.

Looks as if the Rox and Padres are starting things a little early. I like to see our coach fiesty. Could be fun watching how the Rox-Padres series play out this year.
