It's a Dog Fight

These aren't your father's Nuggets. They are feisty, tenacious and, while channeling the personality of Allen Iverson, they aren't going to quit anytime soon. OK. I admit. I was ready to write them off in the third quarter. Ah, heck, let's be honest... I was ready to write them off after they acquired Iverson a few months ago. I even drew a cartoon about Iverson potentially being poisonous for the Nuggets. I'm man enough to admit, I was wrong. I like Iverson's game and the attitude he brings to it. It's the reason I now think the Nuggets will beat the Spurs and advance to the second round of the playoffs.
Which is great because it'll give me a chance to draw some more Nuggets playoff cartoons. Heaven knows the cartoons about the Rockies can wait.

By the way...I'm expecting the Broncos to move up in the draft come Saturday. I think they could work a deal with the Redskins or the Texans to take Jamaal Anderson. The best deal of all would be to get the Falcons pick and take LaRon Landry. Let me know what you think.

Come on Drew.....
You cannot seriously think that San Antonio is going to lose this series. Keep drinking the powder blue colored kool-aid.
Duncan, Manu, Parker, etc....have WAYYYY too much experience for the Nuggies to deal with. Simply put, Denver just drew a straight in Game one, but now their poker face is wilting. The Spurs have now awakened from whatever fog they might have been in during game one.
I've also heard all sorts of crap about how the officials killed Denver. Please. You know what, maybe if Denver some year can actually go deep in the playoffs or actually win a title, then they'll have earned a lot of calls from the refs. Right now, they haven't earned a damn thing. Theyt have two primadonna players and a very confused and incredibly thin bench. Nene still has not earned the contract he signed. Iverson will never win an NBA title, and Anthony will continue to be an egomanic. If he ever learns to share and play solid defense, well...he might become a legit star player. Right now he is strictly a scorer. That simply does not win you games against collectively solid teams like San Antonio. You know it, and I know it.
