are the rockies ever going to commit to winning? it seems that they are content just being a mid-market team that makes no waves.

    they're a joke.

Don't worry Drew. Now that Kircus is a suspect in a crime you have more ammo to bash the Broncos with and don't have to worry about coming up with new Rockies material....

Great cartoon Drew! It's high time that the biased Denver sports media admitted that the Rockies are one of baseball's least popular attractions! It's Colorado sports teams like this that make me turn to horse racing this time of year. The lithe, rippled body of a charging stallion, and all of the sensual pleasures it represents, will always be infinitely more intriguing than another poor Rockies game.

I had a grand amount of fun flipping on the Rockies/Royals game yesterday after a nice bike ride, and it was 4-3 Royals. Then all of a sudden it was 4-4.
Of course.....we all knew what would happen next.
The chance that the Rockies would actually tack on an extra run by getting a clutch hit was next to impossible. It simply was not going to happen.
So...I found it very ironic that the Royals RELIEF PITCHER, in the 12th inning, with his FIRST HIT EVER, goes ahead and laces a double over Matt Holliday's head to plate the 2 big insurance runs.
I mean....a PITCHER, in his first EVER major league at-bat.
Does it get any worse? I think not.
