More Broncos Bulk

drew06097.gif

The Broncos continue to add more bulk to their defensive line. If we all wake up one morning to find out that they have signed Butterbean to a contract we'll know it's gone too far. Until then it's a wait and see kind of thing. My only thought is, just how many defensive lineman do you need in training camp? Apparently quite a few.

So I leave you with this...How many defensive lineman does it take to screw in a lightbulb? One to screw in the bulb and 18 more to cheer him on from the sidelines.

If they don't workout, just release them and move on. The Broncs can always have someone else's castoff for a 6th rounder.

There will be competition in the defensive line.

hey drew, do you actually think that a 325 lb. man can give 100% effort for 70 snaps a game? it's not physically possible! that's why shanny's bringing in so many guys, b/c if one guy can go for 20 snaps, and another can go for 15, and so on, and so on, you can get that production where everyone is going 100% all the time. you don't need to be a defensive coordinator to know that a 325 lb. human being cannot move very well

Exactly what is Shanahan's point here?

To have a totally immobile line? If he really thinks this is going to frighten anyone, he is very mistaken.

Opposing speed backs are grinning right now. By the timne these fatties get out of their stance, the running back will be a faint blur.

Great idea Shanny. What a stupid head coach.

Sometimes having some beef on the line is a good thing. Neil Smith was no small guy and the Broncos won a Super Bowl with him on the Defensive line.

Kennedy may be big but he has agility too. This is hardly an immobile line.

You all are forgetting the Broncos have a new D coordinator. Maybe he is the one wanting all these huge guys??

the reason why they are getting these big guys is cause of the scheme. The bigger interior d-line you have it allows for your quick d-ends to line further out and get a better egde rush. Remember the broncos have had a horrible pass rush in the last couple seasons. just wait this scheme will work
