My brother, a diehard Yankees fan, would get a kick out of your cartoon. I think you nailed it!
And Eric, you really nailed the post your comments button.
Eric, push the little grey post your comment button once.
Glad to see the Rockies take one from New York. How about a repeat performance tonight?

I seem to remember that if one makes a donation to one of Drew's charities he would send you a original cartoon. Am I losing it or did I remember correctly? If anyone knows would you pls email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks!

2-0 against the bombers at home...better put the yankees in the canoe.
A good solid run to be sure. Good for them. They should be enjoying this very much.
Now that that's out of the way...
Let's be a bit realistic here.
The Rockies have gotten well the last month against a good number of teams that are either quite awful (see Baltimore as an example) or teams that are seriously underacheiving (Yanks, Cards, etc.)
So, once again....good for the young guys, but let's just keep our heads on straight and see what the future holds. Mainly....will Charlie and Dick open the wallet and sign Francis, Holliday and company to the long term deals when that time comes?
Will they finally rid themselves of the albatross that is Todd Helton's contract?
My guess...Not likely.
But enjoy anyway, eh?
now, If by chance the rockies sweep the Yankees, you should draw a picture with three frogmen under the boat with drills. Fogg,Francis, lopez. enjoy your comic strip so much.

I'm so very glad that the yacht was sunk, sweep baby!
It won't mean a damn thing if the Rockies suddenly go on a 6-20 stretch.
Simply, the hype surrounding the Yankees coming into town and the unlikely scenario of Colorado pulling off a sweep has created a big buzz. But...the Rockies picked up all of 2.5 games in the standings during all of that.
History says the Rockies are in for a tumble. They haven't played a division team in, what....a month?
Let's just stay calm here. Lots of games left to be played. This is the same team that sucked it earlier in the season.

All those warm and fuzzy feelings for the Rockies didn't last very long, did they?
Leave it to the Rockies to blow up a good thing with a dose of reality.

Where are all of these bandwagon folks now after seeing the real Rockies resurface?
Guess that streak was a total mirage after all, eh?
