Its too true. I love the rockies for the young players, but how long will we have Atkins, Holladay, and Tulo because of the owners.

    Inconsistency, inconsistency, inconsistency! = Rockies

    Atkins = Gone!
    Holliday = perhaps!
Troy = Never watch rockies again if this happens(this kid is a stud).

    Can we trade the Monfort's?

I just bought tickets to the Sept 30th game against Arizona. Since this is the last game of the season it could determine if the Rocks make the playoffs. I'm excited about this team, I've been watching them for two years get better and now they're playing for a chance at the playoffs. Tulo's a stud btw, the most RBI's by a rook SS since "Nomah", ah you akiddin' me? What a talented ute.

Troy Tulowitski and Matt Holliday are clearly steroid abusers.

    I can't wait until a story breaks.

It'll be fun to see his hype around the "wonderful young kid shortstop" come crumbling down on top of his head when he finally gets caught.

As for Holliday, just look at him. He's hitting a lot more than just the weight room.

Yeah, that's good. For the record, Drew & all....

There is, in fact, another person posting under "Tom" here who is apparently a bigot of some kind.

I think folks here know that I like to rock the boat a bit, but that I don't cross the line when it comes to outrageous racial statements.

I'm seriously considering leaving this forum at this point. I'm simply not willing to put up with someone impersonating me in that kind of way.

    Tom and James,
How could you fill this place with such trash?

Tom...i'm interested in what race you think Latroy Hawkins and Julio are. Why race makes a difference to anything I'm not sure.

James, you have absolutely no basis for your claim. It is purely spiteful. A player can be dominant and clean. Your lack of faith is sickening.

    Yep, okay....

I thought about it. I'm done.

    Goodbye all.

To whomever you are that posted that crap under my handle.....I hope you're satisfied with yourself.

Drew, it was fun while it lasted. Even though I may have feuded with a few folks here, it was generally all in good fun. Thanks for having this blog. This was simply the final straw.
For those who enjoyed trading banter with me over the last year or what-not....thanks.

For those who are glad to see me go....well, you got your wish. You can thank whomever posted the "black player" comment.

    Cheers (for the final time.)

I hope you'll reconsider. The post you refer to was indeed a person assuming your identity. It's being handled here by our internal investigations team. Future posts by that IP address , who assumed your identity ,will no longer be accepted. I hate this part of the job. This blog is all supposed to be fun yet we have a few people who don't seem to understand that. I hope you'll return ,Tom ,and that all of us can treat each other with dignity and class.

    I'll consider it Drew.

Maybe I'll keep a little quiet until hockey season starts though.

Think I'll just let the Rockies play out their season, make the playoffs with the wild card, and run the table to the World Series victory, beating the Angels in 4 games.

The Broncos win their next 9 games to improve to 10-0 on their way to 16-0 and the subsequent Super Bowl victory over the Cowboys or such other low-life NFC team. Of course, they'll win the Super Bowl by a score of 114-0 and hold the ball on offense for all but 93 seconds of the game.

The Avs will go 81-0-1. They'll miss out on the perfect season by having Jose score an "own goal" in overtime by firing the puck off Ryan Smyth's noggin and back off both of his own goalposts. The goal will be reviewed for upwards of 26 hours by the league "War Room" before it's determined to be a true goal.

The Avs go 16-0 in the playoffs by shutting out their opponents in EVERY game and score 173 goals in ntheir 16 contests.

The Nuggets become the only franchise to go 82-0 by having Anthony score 98.64% of the teams points during the regular season. Allen Iverson provides 99.432% of the assists (99.993 of these via the alley-oop.) The Nuggies will of course win the NBA Championship by sweeping through the playoffs just like their fellow Avalanche.
The city of Denver, thus, will win all 4 major championships in the same "year".

    Everyone happy?

For what it's worth, I appreciate what Tom has brought. i love a good spirited debate. The few conversations I had with him never degenerated into name calling, and I appreciate that. Most of the name calling starts with those attacking him.

Thank you Thrawn, MJ, Gordo, Drew.

I realize that the way I sometimes knock the local teams will never be wildly popular, but I do choose to rip on all sports in general, while never forgetting that, well.....my opinion isn't the only one that matters. I really don't mind debate. I enjoy it a great deal, actually.
Most folks who respond to me seem to understand where I'm coming from and that they should probably take my comments with a 55 pound bag of salt.

    Thanks all.
