The REAL most popular name that people will be naming their kids in 2008 will be....(drum roll, please).....

    Balco Helton.
    Balco Atkins.
    Balco Tulowitski.
    Balco Smith.
    Balco Hawpe.
    Balco Torrealba.
    Balco Taveras.
    Balco Matsui.

Oh, I also wanted to raise a glass to Ian Stewart. Way to have a big impact with your amazing .209 average this year. 3rd baseman of the future for sure!!!!!
God, I remember all the hype that was surrounding this dolt earlier in the season. Where are all these folks now who thought this guy was the real deal? Just another fraud of a player.

WorkingClassHero - Balco? Come on... Helton yes. Holliday maybe. How can you say that Torrealba and Matsui are on roids? all 12 home runs they combined for sure point to the clear...

Seth Smith? The guy can barely get it 200 feet from home.

Don't rain on the rockies parade. It's scheduled for November 1st. Great comic Drew.

Just picking off random names. Calm down. But good for you for agreeing on Helton and Holliday. Excellent. Nice to have you on board for that topic of discussion.

If your skewed logic is correct all MLB teams are ‘roiding it up and the whole league needs to just fold it up and forget about it. The Rockies are clean until someone comes up with some sort of proof that tells otherwise and success is not proof of impropriety. If something comes out that shows impropriety then you can give us all the ”Ï told you so..” and we can join you with our torches and pitch forks and run them out of town.
Until that time, you just sound stupid.

Dude shut up already, you fill this blog with more B.S. than a Dodge City cattle ranch. Only thing is, it stinks even more.

If you can't name your own teams, then go away you coward. Until then worry about your own friggin team. Because unless it's either Boston or Cleveland your team obviously has bigger problems.

And while you're laughing it up that you're getting under everyone's skin on here just remember next Wednesday to our delight, and your pain they will still introduce the National League Champion COLORADO ROCKIES!!!

Wow, somebody on this blog sounds as old and reused as a Green Day remake of a John Lennon song. No originality and a lack of intelligence is apparent in his ( or her?) posts.

What an idiot, just ignore her and she'll melt away like the WWofTW.

He flat out said that he was not going to tell us who he roots for.

No further proof is needed to show that any kind of debate with him is a waste of time.

I bet he/she is actually a closet Rockies fan.

WCH-- Jesus dude, is all you do everyday is post nasty comments about the colorado rockies on these blogs? I am a long time reader of Drew's and I swear your name pops up everywhere with disgusting comments attached. Saying that many of those Rockies players are on steroids is completely uncalled for, I'm just curious as to what makes you so incredibly jealous of them all. Get a life man, seriously.

Oh yeah...learn to spell the names of the men you are dissing. It takes a real idiot to misspell TULOWITZKI when its spelled out right in front of your face on the comic you are commenting on.

    Show some class man.

I'm sick of people giving up on Stewart already...The first September call-up is not a good indicator. To wit, stats of September call-ups of two current Rockies stars:

    Stewart (2007) 43 ABS, .209 BA, 1 HR, 9 RBI [Age: 22]
    Tulowitzki (2006) 96 ABS, .240 BA, 1 HR, 6 RBI [Age: 21]
    Atkins (2003) 69 ABS, .159 BA, 0 HR, 4 RBI [Age: 23]

Or if you level the playing field and project their averages to 100 at bats:

    Stewart (2007) 100 ABS, .209 BA, 2 HR, 21 RBI [Age: 22]
    Tulowitzki (2006) 100 ABS, .240 BA, 1 HR, 6 RBI [Age: 21]
    Atkins (2003) 100 ABS, .159 BA, 0 HR, 6 RBI [Age: 23]

So if the Rockies go on to win this whole thing, what will be your lame excuse then? Face it, they're a good team who is unbelievably hot right now. If its not your team, fine. But as Turtle said, have some class. There's plenty of sports with plenty of teams that have won championships that i am not fond of. And when they do i applaud them for it, even the Red Wings and Yankees. You might be working, but your class doesn't show. And exactly WHO are you a hero to?
