win,lose & Drew: Broncos Drive-Thru

DREW1126.gif

Just when you thought it was safe to jump back on the Broncos bandwagon...The Broncos melted down on Sunday in new and inventive ways. Why kick to Devin Hester and why, oh why can anyone tell me the reason the Broncos insisted on bringing Todd Sauerbrun back? The game kind of went like the season has lost in complete absurdity.

Wow, what a heartbreaking choke! Remember, one SD loss and we go back to being tied for cream of the crap in the AFC West!

Things to remember for next week's game:
    1) Don't kick to Hester or others of his skill.
    2) Cover wide receivers, especially in desperate times.
    3) Don't punt to Hester or others of his skill.
    4) Continue to cover wide receivers as quarterbacks do occasionally throw game winning passes to them.
    5) Consider jamming wide receivers in goal line situations. See number 4 for explanation why.
    6) Remember to tackle the running back. If the pile is still moving, he is not down.

knock it off Drew. Hester has been making kickers look foolish for 2 years. Sauerbrun is nothing special in this instance. Todd is a great punter and we are lucky to have him.

The offense was perfect except for some conservative play-calling with 3:40 left to play or so. The Defense was outstanding. They blew it in overtime but the game should never have gone to OT.

Special teams cost the game. Poor tackling and a poor choice of kick locations put 14 points on the board and led to a blocked kick which led to more points.

I don't see how you can blame Sauerbrun, unless you thought he out-kicked the coverage on Hester's punt return. You have to kick the ball inbounds on a kickoff, and the guy who blocked the punt was untouched on his way to Sauerbrun. What did you want him to do?

Well, if WorkingClassHero can cut-and-paste his sophmoric rantings, I feel I can respond in like manner with a cut-and-paste of my own. So, W-C-H; this is for you!

Colorado seems to be infested with people who couldn't get a job in thier own home town or state, and they come here looking for a life. It seems to me, Transplant (proverbial), that if where you are from is so wonderful, and worthy of your allegience, wouldn't you still be living there? Instead, you came here, and your main pastime is to (try to) trash the sensibilities of the locals - like we care what you think!
    You're pathetic...

So, if the shoe fits (WCH) wear that sucker!

Here's what it all boils down to...Upon the end of the game Sunday life continued on. The world failed to end, and the Denver Broncos will play another game this weekend.
See the headlines out of Miami, and Washington and remember...it's just a game, there are far greater priorities in life.
