I'm interested to see what Drew's toon will be IF San Diego wins against the Pats, and say....tosses 4 TD's in the process.

Not saying this will happen, but I can only believe that the entire city of Denver will ended up flooded due to the number of tears shed.
I would also imagine that there will need for many a remote control to be replaced IF the Pats fall to Rivers and company.

Me...I could care less who wins this game. What I'm interested in is the reaction from Broncos fans IF San Diego wins this game, and IF Rivers does well.

I don't exactly understand this obsession that Broncos fans have with Rivers or anyone else mouthing off against Cutler or any other Bronco. Possibly if the Broncos hadn't lost to San Diego by a combined score of 64-6 during the regular season, then the door wouldn't be open for such talk from Rivers and his mates.

I'm not defending Rivers, but I am saying that at least San Diego is in a position to back up the smack. They did beat Indy AT HOME in the PLAYOFFS (something the Broncos have not done.)

Shannon Sharp did this kind of thing ALL THE TIME when he was a Bronco. The man had a HUGE yap, and still does to this day. I never heard any Bronco fan damning Sharpe for smack-talking to the opposition when he played for Denver.

    Cheers.

So what if Rivers has a big mouth. At least he shows emotion & passion.

Cutler just looks like he's been smoking the happy grass every time he's on camera. He looks tired, uninterested and stoned.

By the way - I've met John Elway twice and he's been an egotistical prick each time.

The guy played last week on one leg. He dinged it and couldn't return.
I'll guarantee that you'll never see Cutler out there playing injured. As the previous poster said, at least Rivers shows some emotion unlike Silent Jay.

Who cares if he shows a lack of class? He's pushed his team to the AFC Title Game.

I'd take "Winning Rivers" over the preceived "Choir-Boy Cutler" any day. But in reality, Cutler shows a complete lack of class when he stomps his feet and pouts to the refs after EVERY play that doesn't go the Broncos way. He's a cry baby. Cutler's baby tantrums are classy? I think not.

Rivers at least has a pair.

    Exactly.

To anyone who is slamming Philip Rivers:

    Stick it.

He's playing despite a partially torn ligament. He's showing incredible courage. He has his team in a position to win this game. Yes, they have only come up with field goals, but they're also playing minus L.T. and a healthy Gates. Basically they are playing without their 3 top offensive weapons, and they're right in it with a healthy Pats on the road.

There's no way Cutler, or many other QB's have the guts to go out and play hard on a torn up knee.

Actually, Drew's cartoon is an accurate reflection of the image Phillip Rivers trash talk has projected in the minds of several prominent sports writers (Adam Schein for instance).

Yeah we Broncos fans are biased because he taunted our QB but many media sources are saying the same thing.

In other words, Drew's comic paints an accurate picture of what many people believe about the situation.

    Right Brian. Sure.

Like Rivers was the only one talking smack. Cutler was yapping his mouth off too, and not just to the Chargers, but to the refs all game long. Just goes to show that Broncos followers refuse to see both sides of a story.

    Cutler is a punk.

    Dwayne,

How about trying to be a human being? Or would that be too much of a stretch?
You apparently weren't watching the game yesterday. Rivers played an incredible game for someone who is reported to have a partially torn ligament in his right knee, with the other ligament already severely sprained. The Chargers kept pace with New England despite having a QB on one leg, no L.T. and an Antonio Gates who was playing as nothing more than a decoy the entire contest due to a dislocated toe.
You're nothing more than a disgruntled Broncos watcher. You're just pissed off because the Chargers are the better team and the Broncos are floundering.

I also cannot believe that you publicly stated that you wanted Rivers to be blindsided. You're wishing for him to get hurt more than he already was. THAT is CLASSLESS!

Yippee! Rivers played hurt. He sucked and couldn't put his team in the end zone when they needed it, but he sure showed heart. So what?

I also noticed he wasn't talking his usual ration of crap after being humbled by the better team (that played as poor as I've seen them play all year, mind you). The door was open and Rivers couldn't push his team through. End of story.

PS Bolts fans...I will give Rivers credit for at least being on the field. Tomlinson couldn't muster up that much heart. And he also sulked on the sidelines the whole game. Didn't even try and get his teammates fired up or anything. Just sat there with his helmet on so no one could see him crying.

The Chargers are even less likeable than the Patriots, and that's saying something.

I will give the little punk some credit for hobbling out there and playing hurt. It's the playoffs and he showed some heart. But, my question is what would have happened had they played a healthy backup instead of a so-so Rivers? Maybe they could have pulled er out. Don't know. Just glad they didn't win. I don't even want to think what it would have been on here had the Bolts won and went onto win the Super Bowl.

If talking out of your *** is how you make your point, then so be it.
Since we're doing the serve and volley thing...
How many times has L.T. been busted for smoking pot and suspended by the NFL?
    Hmmmmm....
How many Superbowls has Shanahan won without the aid of Elway?
    Hmmmm.....
How many times has Cutler had any kind of reason to beat on his chest and declare himself a worthy winner in the NFL?
    Hmmmm.....
How many defensive coordinators will Mike Shanahan have to hire and fire before he finally decides that he's a horrible head coach and should blame himself?
    Hmmmmm.....
How long until Sportz Fan decides that it's not worth arguing about a junkball team like the Broncos who have the Chargers and the rest of the AFC so far in front of them that they can't even see those teams anymore?
Even the Raiders have a brighter future.
Go back to your Playstation and keep dreaming of 1997. It's ancient history. (Oh...and it was history that was made because the Broncos cheated the salary cap rules too. Denver didn't even have it in them to win them legally.)

And why don't you come back and talk to me after you graduate into "pull-up" diapers and the Chargers actually make it INTO a Super Bowl.

The "Dolts" arguably have the most talented team in the league and can't even make it to the show...HAHAHA! What a joke.

    Sportz Fan -

You're not going to win this fight. San Diego made the playoffs THIS year and beat up the Broncos 64-6 in their 2 meetings. It wasn't even close. Learn to take the crap when your team deserves it. San Diego is a far better team now then the Broncos are. Norv Turner is a better coach that Mike Shanahan. Philip Rivers is a better and gutsier QB than Jay Cutler is. L.T. is loads better than any running back Denver has had in over 10 years. Antonio Gates is better than any tight end the Broncos have ever had.
The current Broncos squad is old and slow. Much of it needs replacing. It's going to take years and years to rebuild. Mike Shanahan is just roadblocking any kind of future for the team because he keeps trying to win the Superbowl every year. He's bad as a coach, and worse as GM figure.
    Face the facts.

    Sorry Carly,

Gates has got a few years to go before we start saying he's better than (like him or not) Shannon Sharpe. Come on.

Also, I would have said Tomlinson is one of the greatest I have ever seen until that (non)performance yesterday. Maybe you recall Terrell Davis playing and winning the MVP of the SuperBowl? He had such a bad migraine he could hardly even see. He manned up and played because there was no next week. Tomlinson is a wimp.

Norv Turner a better coach than Shanny? Puh-lease. Look up the records. Make your argument for Norvell then. Keep in mind, the Redskins had a ton of talent when he was there, too.

It is a fight I can absolutley win. When the "overrated" Chargers can actually win a big game, then I will take all of the heat.

Until then, the Chargers are just saying the same thing as 29 other teams......MAYBE NEXT YEAR.

I have no doubt the the current Charger squad is in "better standing" than the current Broncos squad. Unfortunately, we have some dingbats who try and bring up and teach "history lessons"........where the "0" for Chargers have yet to win a thing. And with the Colts and Pats in the same conference, it may be a while before a West team can make the SB.

Seriously Sportz Fan - You come off looking like a true knucklehead, and all you're doing is proving what most of the nation knows. That Denver sports fans are still living in the past (Elway, Patrick Roy, etc) while everyone else keeps moving forward. With your mean-spirited put-downs, you're also proving that Denver fans are jerks and cannot accept that their teams aren't going to be on top all the time. Get used to the losing. It's going to be around your town for quite a while while the rest of the AFC West gets better and better.

And yes, I will continue to live in the past and remember Elway, Roy, etc. At least I can say WE here in Denver have a past that can brighten our day.

As long as fans from other teams continue to post and talk trash on this DENVER board....I will continue to reply in return. I hope you can see that Ron because I have a pretty good feeling that you would do the same!
