I go to college out here in Massachusetts and I'd just like to defend Red Sox fans. Not all of them are like this preening idiot who has nothing better to do than to check our newspapers and talk a bunch of trash. Everyone I talked to out here was rooting for the Rockies from September up to the World Series and when they won they were all gracious. I wear my NL Champions hat around and instead of getting made fun of, Red Sox fans congratulate me. It sucks because a few idiots like this guy paint a picture of Boston fans that really isn't true.

Holliday still hasn't touched home plate against San Diego.

Game one was the deciding game in the Series. It set the tone. Of course, Colorado had no chance in the series anyway.

The thud that will be heard will be that of many Rockies fan's jaws dropping when they see Colorado revert back to the old 90 loss team that they really are. last year was a total fluke.

The other problem is that ALL of the other teams in the NL West have gotten far better and the Rockies have stayed the same team as last year and the year before. They haven't added a single impact player. They're just the same, sad team they've always been. They had a fluke run that will never happen to them or anyone else ever again. But that fluke run ended with a complete and total embarrassment at the hands of the mighty Red Sox.

The Rockies suck, y'all. Get that through your heads.

after the whole offseason, that is the best you could come up with.....ahhh...pathetic!

Props to the red sox, they were the best team last year, but i doubt your a real Sox fan, east coast bandwagner. c

It's so easy to get you Colorado "fans" going. You're so sensitive about your precious little crappy sports teams that never win anything without cheating (see Broncos cheating the salary cap, the Buffs needing a 5th down, and the Rockies getting a freebie from the umpires in the game against San Diego.)

NATIONAL LEAGUE CHUMPS is more accurate Kurtonic...

The Rocks got laid to waste when they finally encountered a good team (Boston) in last years playoffs. They had a lack of depth last year and they still have a lack of depth this year. All that emotion from last years run is gone. It cannot be revisited or used this year. That is the past.
It's very true that every other team in the NL West improved themselves much more than the Rockies.
I'm predicting a 4th place divisional finish at best. Same old Rockies we've always been used to.
The Monforts promised they would improve the ball club. They have failed on that promise. All they did was sign people who were up for arbritation. And Tulo is not the Messiah.
    Big deal.

Cheating, ever heard of the true choke artists and the biggest cheaters of all known as the PATRIOTS, are the from the boston area? Rockies getting a freebe, actually they got what they deserved, in case you missed the homerun that was taken away! See you next time you check in with your genius thoughts.

So the national league west was a bunch of chumps last year..and some how they have become the all might league in one off season. Mark it down BOB, 4th place. I guess we will see.

red rover how did nebraska do last year, what was the score in that kansas game, thats enough out of you!

My post was in agreement with WCH's...

If you actually took the time to read the posts on this board first, then you just might get it. Maybe you're ignorant. Maybe you're brain dead. I don't know. You sound ignorant. But maybe you're just an idiot.

    Anyway...

THIS OFFSEASON, eh...(but then you would have known I was talking about THIS offseason if you'd bothered to read the part about my prediction of a 4th place finish by Colorado....see it PAYS to PAY ATTENTION.)

Ahem....This offseason, every other club in the NL West got stronger. The Rockies have not added a single player that will allow them to compete in their division. There will be no magical run this year or any other year for the Rockies, ever again. They had their shot last year and they blew it.
All the Rockies have done is to sign players they already had, which, judging by last season up until they hit their hot streak, wasn't much. So, take away the hot streak, and you have no better than a .500 ballclub.
    STILL PAYING ATTENTION, ARE WE????

The Rockies have 2 years until Holliday is gone. And he will be gone. Helton will be gone then too. The Rockies will revert back to their usual self starting this season, and then you'll have yet another rebuilding project. Big time free agent pitchers do not want to come and pitch at Coors Field. Bit time hitters (if they come at all), will come here to inflate their home run totals for a season or two, and then move on.
All the Rockies are doing with these piddly contracts to Atkins and Hawpe and Holliday are delaying the inevitable. All these guys are gone very soon. And because the Rockies blew their chance last year, they will never get another one. L.A. can outspend the Rockies. Arizona will always be a more desired place to play. san Francisco has finally rid themselves of Bonds and will now be a desired place to play now that the circus has left town. San Diego is a gem of a ball club. They are the crown jewel of the NL West. They have the best pitching, period. And they have Greene, who is a better shortstop than Tulowitzki will ever dream of being. Tulo was a one year wonder. The Rockies are going to regret his contract heavily, just like they did Hampton's and Neagles. The Rockies always handcuff themselves with rotten contracts, and this is no different.

Remember to pay attention in class.

It must all be bitter Cleveland and San Diego fans who haven't won a damn thing in their entire lives.

Ah... the first day of Baseball, I can already hear the crack of the bat.

It looks like this season will go down to either the Rocks or the dBacks for the NL West title. The Rockies didn't add anyone in the offseason, but then neither did the Red Sox. However the Rocks didn't really lose anyone either, but the Sox lost Curt Schilling to injury. Plus Manny, Ortiz, and Lowell are all on the retired side of 30.

The Rockies will roll out a rotation of young starters, Francis, Uball, Cook, Hirsch, and Franklin. So be prepared for this team to be good for a long time.

Oh...a NLCS only to get swept in the World Series....

That's nothing to be proud about. Especially since the Rockies were gifted the winning run when Holliday failed to touch home plate in the San Diego game.

You know Boston went nearly 100 years before winning a World Series, last year they were three outs from being sent home by the Indians in the ALCS and now they have an over-the-hill team that is overpaid, ala the New York Knicks.

Go home Boston, that's where your baseball team will be this fall anyway. Baseball schedules 11 days between the Rockies NLCS game to the first WS game intentionally to cool off the red hot Rocks, that's the only reason Boston was lucky.

Wow, the Red Sox fans are still coming over here. We must really be something special to them. I guess they are avoiding the Giants fans who will point out Boston went back to reality. I'm surprised they don't have some Yankees fans to yell at. Worry about your own division and we will worry about ours. And any slap you can say to the Rockies just goes right back to the D Backs and Phillies. If we were so bad or lucky then there is no way we would have swept those teams.

Oh good. Now Rockies fans are blaming the fact that their own team swept their way into the World Series and are making up fantasies about MLB delaying the start of the Series for 11 days. You're on some serious medication Charlie.
The Rockies sucked it versus Boston.
And damn....Holliday still, even months later has still failed to actually touch home plate.
At least Boston doesn't need an artifical humidor to play their games. They just play.

Keep smoking that Colorado happy grass and living out your strange fantasies. The Rockies won't sniff a division title, much less a wildcard spot.
The NW will be won by either Arizona again, and your wild card winner, if it comes from the West, will be San Diego. The Rockies won't even win 70 games.

Ok, so, even if the Rockies suck as some of you claim.. who cares? Being a FAN, a REAL fan means supporting your team through the good and the BAD, being an enthusiastic devotee and proud follower no matter WHAT. I still love the Rockies regardless of whether they are winning or losing because I am a true Rockies fan, not some fair weather, run-from-the-team-when-they-suck wannabe fan.

Even if they lose every single game next year, I will still be a Rockies fan at the end of the year because I stand by my team. Even if they eventually lose all of their "big name" players in a few years time, I will still be a Rockies fan.

They don't have to be the best in the league to deserve fans. I don't see how predicting future events is even relevant to any true Rockies fan.

ps- Tulo is so the Messiah. You better watch your mouth.
