The Wild actually deserved this game. Theodore stole it. Our guys didn't come out prepared and are actually a lousy hockey team who were fortunate to win a playoff date with a team that was missing half it's regular defense. We're not as good as our record in this series shows. We're lucky, and because we're lucky, I'll get to keep my job after this is all over.
Yay for me.

Ha! I wouldn't say we are a lousy hockey club, but we were on Thursday night. Oh, and as far as lucky goes, how about game 3: the crazy bounce off the boards and the bounce of the skate for goals. Also lucky. As for game 6, if Theodore can keep it up and get some goal support, we should get some rest heading into round 2.

Jose "The Pussycat Slayer" Theodore. He's the only reason the Av's haven't been elimanated from the playoffs yet. If the rest of the team can play up to his level right now, they would be Stanley Cup Champs in no time. It's great to see the greatness of Theodore is still with him. I hope the Av's think about resighning him for next year.

Thanks Drew,
Hilarious, well done...hope you get to another after tonights game.
What was up with the Wild, on their power play no less, balking on shot attempt after shot attempt. They should heed the words of The Great One: there's no such thing as a bad shot (on goal).
Not that I mind, the Avs are moving to Round 2! It's all that matters.

Great to see the Avs advancing deeper into the playoffs. Hopefully the older guys (Forsberg) get healthier and mesh well with the younger guys (Wolski).
The Broncos are doomed this year. There's just too many holes on offense and defense. They have depth at the skills position, but unfortunately no skill at the positions that win games (O-line and D-line).

Wow. Big deal. The Avalanche beat the Wild.
I'm so excited.
Can't you tell?
The Wild had no defense left after injuries. The Avalanche got all of thier injured players back in time for the playoffs. They were quite fortunate.
Fact remains that the Avalance are going to get absolutely smoked by either Detroit or Dallas, so this minor victory over a depleted Wild squad will mean nothing on a little over a week. We hockey fans in Colorado can just go back to watching a .500 team play awful baseball.
The Nuggets are already done.
It's going to be a long summer.
Sigh.
