Denver Broncos: Assembly Required

The Broncos clearly have their work cut out for them as they move into a new season. Drawing Mike Shanahan has become one of my very favorite things. The ears continue to grow year by year and the look of intensity in his eyes makes for fun cartoons. So much so that I'm going to bring him into an animated cartoon very soon. Now, here's where I need your help.

OPEN CALL for VOCAL TALENT...I need someone out there who can do a good Mike Shanahan voice for future animations. I'm on a cartoonists budget so that basically means I can't pay you for doing the voice but you'll be given a credit at the end of each cartoon (you know voice by), we'll come up with some tickets to something sports, and I'll give you a Drew Litton original. If you're interested call me at 303-954-5179. Leave your impersonation on the voice mail with your name and number so I can get back to you. I don't know for sure, but I think Mel Blanc started this way.

On Voiceover talent. Why attempt to use bad imitation of Mike Shanahan, Carmelo Anthony, George Karl or the Monforts? I think it will interfere with the creativity of your drawings and animations. Why don't you attempt to get sounds and "voice chatter" similar to Charlie Brown's teacher instead? Not necessarily the "wah-wah" but "grumble-grumble" or something like that. Something non-descript. Going to Rush on June 5th?

BD...Thanks for the suggestion...I do like the Charlie Brown blah blah blah thing...And yes, I am going to Rush! Really looking forward to it. If you're going we should find a way to say hello.

    Hey Drew,
I just thought I'd add a little to your thoughts about Shanny's voice. Whom ever you get to do Shanny's voice, just make sure he throws in an "obviously" about every second sentence. If you've ever heard a Shanny interview, you "obviously" know what I'm talking about. ha ha ha

Why does Shanahan still have a job?
