Arlen Specter should be pummeled to a brutal death by pro athletes on massive amounts of steroids and have it filmed by Matt Walsh.

Specter is a bigger political cancer than George Bush.

You hit the nail on the head Drew (as usual). Your cartoon is exactly what the majority of us are thinking. Terrible economy, nothing but B.S. from this idiot politician.

Just yesterday I listened to a person call in on a talk radio show and they were outrageously concerned about China. Why?

    No, not the earthquake victims.

They wanted to know how the past week's event would affect the Olympic Games.

    That was pathetic.

Your toon was accurate Drew. Society is by and large more concerned with the hot story in sports and entertainment than it is with any amount of actual suffering in the world.

    It's pretty sad.

I also find the limited outrage from the actions of Myanmar's from the press disturbing as well. (Not enough political gain from that I guess unless we can somehow blame ourselves.)

Why is the spygate thing bigger news? I have been hearing more from that than anything else it seems. Now Specter is calling for more independent investigations. The other ones did not turn up a whole lot, move on already.

The political system in America will never, never get better. It will never matter who is in office, because it's human nature to screw people over for personal gain.
    You know..."Only the strong (wealthy)survive."
    Survival of the fittest (richest).
"The one with the most toys (cars, homes, bank accounts) wins."

America is all about profit. It's why 80% of the money in this country is controled by the top 1% of the population(or something close to that.)

Want a dose of reality? Check out the film "The Girl In The Cafe" starring Bill Nighy & Kelly MacDonald. The statistics that are relayed in this film on the subject of world wide poverty and hardship is just staggering. This was a Home Box Office production written by Richard Curtis. Worth a look.
