Broncos Royal Pain and a Raider Haters animated cartoon

Quite a victory over the lowly Raiders. Cutler was amazing and Eddie Royal stepped up and will be a big time target for years to come. In my preseason picks I said the Broncos would make the playoffs but fade after the first round. What I didn't say is that there is a chance this team could overtake the Chargers to win the division.
By the way if you like the animation feel free to e-mail it to friends or put it on you own blogs, like my space , face book or wherever. And please leave your comments. It helps me make the next animation better.

Wow........now that was a fun game to watch. The offense didn't miss a beat all night and the Run D was 10 times what I thought it was going to be.

Real test is next week against the Chargers. Amazing how a game can be so pivotal in only the 2nd week of the season!!!

    GO BRONCOS!!!

Little doubt that this will not happen again this season. Folks, the Broncos aren't that good. They're still at least 3 more years away from being a top 8 team in the NFL. The Broncos and Cutler will regress against the Chargers and then the season will start to resemble what it's supposed to this season. 8-8 or 7-9. I mean, let's be realistic. The Broncos will get 4 wins from Kansas City and Oakland. That means a maximum of 4 other wins against the remainder of their schedule. Beating the worst assembled team in the NFL means absolutely nothing. End of story.

I'm riding the high of the win, but I don't want to crown the Broncos super bowl champs YET. The running game will need to step it up a bit, but if they can play this way against the Chargers, they will be something special this year. Cutler took NO sacks and the D-line actually got PRESSURE!!!

Both lines looked MUCH improved. Could be a good year for our Broncos!!

The Broncos will not play this way against the Chargers. Why? Because unlike the Raiders, the Chargers will show up and actually play. The only reason this game was so easy for Denver was because of who was on the other side of the ball. That's where it ends. The Broncs couldn't really stop Oakland on the ground, and Oakland doesn't have a back named L.T. The Chargers, meanwhile, got their hiccup out of the way against a very good Panthers team. It seems that every year the Broncos get to start the season against some sad sack team. Buffalo last year, Oakland this year. Playing those kind of teams first gives no clear indication as to where the Broncos are. Before Broncos fans get their hopes up that Indy and New England are going to lay down and die because one had a bad game against a top-notch defensive Bears team and the other lost their star QB to a freak injury, take another look. The Colts still have a guy named Manning under center, and the Pats still have everyone else but Brady, which is plenty to grab a playoff spot.
The Broncos are still staring 8-8 directly in the face. Put the Kool-Aid down people.

Since you guys don't actually watch football, I'll remind you: last year we needed last minute heroics to beat the Bills, Raiders, etc. Yesterday we beat the Raiders handily. The Broncos are a much improved team. Next week's game against San Diego should be great. If Denver can beat the Chargers at home, they open up a 2 game lead in the West and put themselves in very good position. If Denver loses, then the division is bunched up again. Either way don't belittle a lopsided victory just because it came against the Raiders. Granted, the Raiders are not on par with the Chargers, but it's not like the Raiders are a high school J.V. team. If the Broncos can beat ANY NFL team 41-14, then that says something about the talent level of the Broncos.

This game, as many have pointed out, had nothing to offer anyone as far as hope. The Raiders couldn't beat a J.V. team. The Broncos actually know less about themselves after playing this game than they knew before the game. Now they have no idea if they're good, bad or ugly.
The Broncos have the same guy at QB as they had last year, diabetes or not, and Cutler isn't half as good as the Raiders made him appear.

Matthew -- need I remind you that Cutler has been the #1 passer outside the pocket for two years running? All he was really missing from his game was composure between the tackles and a strong o-line to give him time . He's shown -- both in the preseason and in yesterday's game -- that he has in fact developed that composure, and his line looks stronger than any I've seen in Denver in years. Couple that with a ton of talent -- both young and vet -- at receiver and versatility at tight end and you've got one hell of a passing offense. Mark my words: this will be Cutler's break-out year.

Outside the pocket. Yes, lets touch on that.

Jay Cutler is afraid to stand in the pocket and risk getting hit. He failed so miserably in that situation. It's sad.

Mark my words: Cutler will regress right back to the same guy he's been since he entered the league. Average. He's not respeted because real quarterbacks stay in the pocket. Real quarterbacks don't have to rely on bootlegs and trick plays and rollouts and throwing across their body on EVERY play. It's boring.

Eddie Royal will be another flash in the pan. As soon as some big safety lays a smackdown on his ass that leaves him spitting out a dozen teeth, he'll be way done. Mark my words.

Brandon Marshall will smack his girlfriend around, AGAIN. Mark my words. Then he'll be suspended for a full season, which he deserved his season.

Ryan Clady will get used and abused once he faces a real defense. Mark My words.

Outside the pocket is not real football. It's sissy football.

Devin is the most uneducated poster I think I've ever heard.

You think that it's good that a quarterback is having to spend most of his time on the run? That's because his offensive line sucks and can't hold back a pass rush.

Cutler has not shown composure. He has, however played in 4 meaningless games (3 preseason and 1 regular season.) Why is the regular season game against the Raiders meaningless? Well, because it's obvious to everyone that the Raiders are prime bets to go 0-16. There was no challenge, thus there is no praise for anything the Broncos did. The Broncos did what every team will do to the Raiders. But there's a few things that are clear. The Broncos have no running game and no one to count on to carry the ball. They can't stop the run. They gabe up 150 yards on the ground to a team that has a Junior Varsity offensive line. The Broncos also were the beneficiary of several missed penalty calls that occured during Raider scoring chances and were nearly given a free 1st down. The only think that saved that was a replay.
Add to that that the Broncos offensive line was holding all game and was moving before the snap on just about every other play, and you have a Broncos victory just the way they always win.
I'm a Vikings fan, and I watched the Broncos game after watching my team come up short against the Packers. But at least while my team lost, they lost with honor and they didn't have to cheat to try and attain victory.
I'll just sit back and wait for Cutler to toss a few picks that get brought back for six against San Diego and then I'll see all the so-called Broncos fans start asking for Cutler's head on a stick. The Chargers are going to lay absolute waste to your beloved Ponies.

It is clearly too early to anoint the Broncos, but they clearly have a pretty dang good team. How good? We will not know until the end of the season, but it is clear that it will be a fun season to watch.

    Michael,

As a casual observer, I see it this way -

A fair comparison would be if Champ Bailey or Jay Cutler folded his knee back and was required to go on IR. That would take one of the Broncos key players out of the action, thus evening the scales are far as injuries go.

But really, the scales are not even anyway. Denver has been outplayed and outclassed by San Diego on such a massive scale lately, that it's hardly worth discussing. Just look at the scores from the games last year. That should be quite enough proof to tell you that the teams aren't close in terms of talent. Does that mean that the Chargers will win on Sunday? Well, no because this is the NFL. Anyone can win ugly any day and there'll be no explanation why. But all things being fair, the Chargers should beat the Broncos and beat them handily and almost surely will. The Chargers slacked off against Carolina, brought their "C" game and still nearly won. They will not do that again this season. Lesson learned.

The Broncos will finish 8-8 or 9-7 at best and 6-10 at worst. Sure, jay and the gang will score a bit, but when they toss 30 on the board, the Broncos *cough* "defense" will give up 35-40. When the defense holds the opponent to 13, the offense will choke in the red zone and score 3 field goals and lose the game.

2-3 years down the road, the Broncos might get back to 11-5, 12-4 territory, but not until then. Not until they get through a few more successful drafts. We can see Jarvis Moss is a bust, so that sets them back another draft just to find his replacement.

It's going to be a long season and a frustrating one for Broncos fans, so you might as well prepare for it. It'll lessen the blow when it happens.

It's absurd that Broncos fans are trying to play the card that Jay Cutler would have been the overall # 1 pick in 2006. That's simply not close to true. Not even close. They didn't need a QB in 2006 that badly. They needed defense. By the time they got to Cutler, all the defensive players they wanted were far gone.

Go ahead and spin Jay Cutler into the next messiah all you want, but don't lie while doing it. It makes Denver fans look like idiots, and I don't appreciate fairweather fans like LVBroncosFan and trying to make my team look like foolish. Jay Cutler will never be Elway as much as Denverites might want that to be so.

I love my Broncos, but I have no faith in Cutler. None. He's got a big arm, but he never uses it to his advantage. He dinks and dunks. That equals boring football, does not stretch the field to keep defenses honest, and allows teams with talented DB's to feast on the Bronco receivers. Jay looked fine against Oakland because it was Oakland. I'm not impressed. Broncos fans should not be either.

Maybe you people should realize something. Especially the Broncos fan who hammered Cutler, nice fan you are. Cutler is in his 2ND year as a starter. His 3RD year in the league. Ummm look at Elways stats and success his first 2 years. Look at Peyton Mannings.... Take a look. And then consider that the AFC is very talented except for Oakland and KC in the division. Also consider the 3 offensive lineman he was without last year. If you watched any games last year you saw a young QB who was under relentless pressure in almost every game. Not even Tom Brady (look at last years Super Bowl) can handle pressure like that, and Cutler faced that pressure all year. When you consider his age and the lack of a great O-line and the youth around him, hes light years ahead of others. You uneducated fans dont look at the big picture and the details of it all. You just look at stats and win totals. Thats not what GM's see. So before you bash Cutler or say he'll never be close to an Elway maybe you should consider all the factors first. but mark my words down the road.... Cutler will be a perennial Pro Bowler and have a great career. As long as hes healthy and has B-Marsh and Royal to throw to for years you all will move on to a better argument because you wont have one with me anymore just like you dont now.

Excuse Week 4 will be: The Chiefs don't have Jared Allen anymore. If they did, you would have lost.

...I could go on and on. As another guy pointed out, We went into the black hole and dominated the Raiders, something we failed to do last year. No one is screaming super bowl, but there is no doubt that the Broncos are improved from last year. You're being ignorant if you fail to see that.

Again, I'm not saying Denver is the best team in the NFL, just improved from last year. Cutler had great protection all game. He clearly has Chemistry with Royal, Scheffler and we already know how much damage he and Marshall are capable of. My big question mark is on the Run Defense.

The Raiders were running the ball frequently in pass situations. In addition, Fargas had a big run well after the Broncos had clinched the win.

I need to see how their run defense will do in a close game against a proven running attack. The Chargers game will be a much better gauge of that.

You're the problem, not the people that you're responding to. They'd go away if you would just let them get it out of their system. But you just can't stop egging them on. You're just clueless.

HAHAHAAHAHA Gavin you're the guy who keeps posting in here UNDER different names. One of the guys I've been hammering. Good comeback. You might as well just tell me I'm right and go about your business. And honestly I like responding to dumb uneducated hillbillies so maybe they can get a clue in the game of life. And believe me I'm nowhere bent out of shape. We are about to be 2-0 and my fantasy team w/ Jay, Brandon, and Eddie is looking real good. Football is great-

I agree with Gavin. LVBroncosFan is just another in the long string of people who post here who just cannot let things go. Just amazing.

Just an observation - not that it matters, but it appears, from similarities in writing style and mistakes, that a good portion of the anti-Bronco writing has been made by one person who is changing their name.

I would like to say that both sides of this argument are using an obscene amount of hyperbole. Just my opinion. If you really want to debate this issue go list the facts in support of your opinion and then come back and begin an intelligent discussion.

To John C. you call yourself a Bronco fan??!! You need to give up your season tickets because your Bronco fan rights have just been revoked!!! What was Elway's record in his first full year as QB!!! Has Cutler lined up underneath the guard yet??!! Elway was a great QB but he has been retired for along time now so I think it's time for you to move on now. Cutler is just beginning his 2nd full season starting and he is going to be another great QB for the Broncos. I'm not saying that he will lead us to the SB this year but we are well on the way with all of our young talent that we hve got coming up like Marshall(he is the beast for those of you who do not know!!),Royal,Hillis,Clady and not to mention Torain when he comes back!!!! And to all you Bronco haters I hope you all keep coming back when the Broncos show you all just how good they are starting this week. I hope you all can take as good as you can give it!!! Go BRONCOS!!!!!!

Joe - You, as pretty much a nobody, have the power to revoke season tickets? Wow. That's incredible. Can you also get me a date with Scarlett Johansson? Should we start calling you Joe Almighty? When does the movie come out? How did you like working with Morgan Freeman?

    Freaking idiotic statement....

Blah Blah Blah all you nay sayers are blind or stupid.... Keep talkin Sh*t and putting the new-improved Broncos below the radar. Thats how Shanny & Co. love it! I didn't know chargers fans were as big of idiots as chokeland fans, and twice the crybabies. Keep thinking that "you deserve to win" and you will keep choking in EVERY big game you losers play in. Nice Super Bowl appearance 14 years ago morons, its pathetic that a team in the league this long could blow for so long... come on at least the raiders have some rings. Come talk some sh*t the day the pathetic tijuana chargers have accomplished anything worth a damn. GO BRONCOS!!!!!!
