Buffs: Blackout in Boulder
Buffs play Rough
The Buffs have taken another step up the ladder of respect by knocking off West Virginia in Boulder. Just how good was that West Virginia team they beat? Some preseason polls actually had the Mountaineers in the National Title hunt. For the Buffs to contain the kind of speed they faced against West Virginia was no easy task.
A Little too Conservative for my taste.
Dan Hawkins came out with a wide open game plan that put West Virginia on their heels early. Then, like so many coaches, the Buffs coaching staff spent the rest of the game trying not to lose. Personally, I thought Hawkins tucked the ball away a little too early. That said, this was a huge win for the Buffaloes football program that has endured its share of down years.
