Baseball's Offseason shuffle

Let's Make a Deal
Such is the mantra of a baseball offseason. In the words of the late great Harry Caray, Holy Cow. Doesn't anybody stay loyal anymore or is it all about the money? These days you need a GPS to follow your favorite player. Or Google Maps.

Those were the days
Imagine Mantle sluggin' away for the Dodgers or a Red Sox. Willie Mays playing for the Braves. The mere thought of it all just sends shivers down my spine. Today it's better to just play Fantasy Baseball. At least you know you can keep a player on your team at least through the season.

Let's just hope that the economy crashes and burns. This country actually deserves a recession.

    Let chaos rule.

When money is doled out as freely as it is in MLB then there is no reason for a player to be loyal to anything other then is own, self-center, egotisical butt. I think a boycott of an entire season by the fan of MLB would do wonders for the palyers, owners, GM's and ourselves. If you need your baseball fix go to a minor league game, they are much more fun anway. At least there you players and coaches playing for the shot at the bigs and they tend to have more love of the game then the money.
