Hey, A.I.: It's been a Blast

A.I.It's been a Blast
The try with A.I. is over. It was worth a shot, but in the end it just didn't work. The pieces didn't fit together, the chemistry not quite right. When the Nuggets first traded for A.I. you can count me among those who weren't sure it was a good idea. I just didn't think Iverson was capable of playing team ball and that he wouldn't be a good influence for a young maturing Melo. But Iverson grew on me and I came to respect him and his tenacity on the court. That said, I think Billups will be better in so many ways. He is a true point guard and knows what it takes to win. That makes a huge difference.
Trouble in Dove Valley
The thing the Broncos are missing the most of is they don't have enough guys on the roster who understand the commitment it takes to win championships. They don't have Rod Smith and players like him to be an example for guys like Brandon Marshall and Jay Cutler. Let me know what you think.

Good to see the Avalanche get Forsberg and Foote back... whoops, I mean the Nuggets get Billups and McDyess back.
Why are we stuck in the past at Pepsi Center?

So, exactly who are the Nuggets going to put on the floor the next time Anthony or J.R. Smith get arrested/suspended?
It's also obvious that Keliza will be going to play in Europe, so he's as good as gone since the Nuggets won't pay him.

Denver,
Don't even think for a moment this trade is going to help what's wrong with the Nuggets.
Chauncey Billips used to be a great point guard. He is no longer a great point guard. Will he help a little bit? Probably on the surface, yes. But the real problem with the Nuggets is Carmelo Anthony. Now, he no longer has the scoring of Iverson to cover for him. Carmelo Anthony is an over-rated primma-donna. It doesn't matter that he no longer has the cornrows and dangly things. That was just a look. His me-first attitude and lack of interest in defense will continue to drag this team down. There is nothing that Billups can do to change that.
This team won't even come close to making the playoffs. They won't even win 35 games.
What a joke.

From all indications, Melo's scoring touch was directly wired to his cornrows. He was obviously arffected by not having them anymore. Guess he'll be a 14 point per game guy now. At least his Mom's happy with his new look.

Just read that Carmelo wants to "score 44 points for the 44th president."
Yeah. Right Melo. You scored what...13 last game?
How about this....
Try playing DEFENSE against Golden State first. You're always worried about your damn statistics. You're always worried about being the highlight reel. Try hustling back after a missed shot. Try FIGHTING for rebounds. Try PASSING the ball more when you get double teamed.
The Nuggets traded the wrong player.

So.....Melo......
44, eh?
Don't think so.
28.
You just keep on tossing up bad shots. You just keep on NOT playing defense. You just keep on over-hyping yourself. You just keep on worrying about your precious stat line or catching yourself on ESPN SportsCenter. Team ball is the furthest thing from your mind.
Get this through your thick head: YOU ARE NOT THAT GOOD OF AN NBA PLAYER. You are not a leader. Why you were voted to be a captain of this team is beyond comprehension.
Do everyone a favor and rip the "C" off and give it to Chauncey IMMEDIATELY. IMMEDIATELY. You do not deserve it.

The Nuggets could probably win som games if there would only be someone under the net on an offensive attack. Against the Warriors on almost 2/3rds of every Nuggets shot, there were no Nuggets players under the net to get offensive rebounds. I'm just wondering what Geo karl is not seeing that I'm seeing ?
Watch their next game and see if there's something
maybe wrong w/ my T.V. set. If so, would you please E-Mail me and I'll bye a new one!

You only make comics when the Nuggets are doing badly, it's funny because how they're the 6th ranked team and you say nothing about them.
But hey, as soon as they have a losing streak I know that you'll get straight to work on some comic along the lines of
Billups: GIVE ME THE BALL CARMELO
Carmelo: NO!! YOU CAN TELL IM IN A GANG BECAUSE I WEAR RED CLOTHES!!!!! I DONT PALY DEFENSE (13 rebounds per game) AND I BALLHGO!! (5 assists per game)
