Playoffs and Puppies

Playoffs and Puppies
Those are two things that Barack Obama believes in. And that's good enough for me. Can you imagine a college football playoff system? Alabama vs Boise St., Texas Tech takes on Penn St.,Texas vs. Utah, Florida battles USC in round one. Or take it to 16 teams and it gets even better. Let bowl like the Sun get a regional playoff game. The mystique would be better because the outcome would matter.

So Whataya Think?
Tell me what you think. Put down your proposals, lay out your ideas. If YOU could make it happen , what would the NCAA college football playoffs look like? Have fun with it. Dream big. And hope that someday it will happen.

I would like to see a Conference Champions tournament such as Big XII vs SEC etc; with a couple of at large bids thrown in.

Did anyone notice that Carmelo led the nuggs in rebounding and assists in a win over the Spurs tonight?

Did anyone notice that for the most part this season, the Nuggets have only been playing either injury depleted teams or just plain awful teams? The only true exceptions were the Celtics and Cavs.
The Billups factor has not actually been proven yet. If the Nuggets beat the Lakers by 20 tonight, then Nuggets fans can start to be optimistic, but only then.
It's easy for a fully healthy team such as Denver to look good against teams that either flat suck or are without their best players.

...did you know that I was a '4th Stringer' on the Maryland football team in the 80's?? Yeah, that's where I gained all of my fabulous sporting knowledge.

    Class of '88!!!!!

What in hell are you talking about? Your post is easily the most confusing waste of space on the entire internet.

The Nuggets actually have been winning against primarly crappy or understaffed teams. Facts are facts.

If they beat Kobe and company, then, yes, they might have a little room to jump for joy. But they've been playing outside the division, and have yet to beat Utah or the Lakers. Fine, they beat the Celtics, but the Celtics also had an off night for them. They are a much better team than they showed that evening.

The Nuggets will undoubtedly have a 3-4 game loss streak to bring them down to earth sooner or later. This is just the Billups Bounce. It'll end eventually.

The Nuggets (completely healthy - I don't even count Chris Andersen as a legit NBA player) just got killed by the Lakers. Killed.

The Nuggets are DEAD people. Flat dead.

    Winning streak is DEAD.

This team will be drifting at .500 real soon.

    Mark it down.
