The Broncos Milkbone Underwear

Going to da Dawgs
Hard to fathom that the season has come to this. The odds against the Broncos are stacking up almost as fast as the injuries. They are definitely at the crossroads as a franchise. I kind of think they can bounce back this week but I've thought that the last few games. This might well be a must win game. Feel free to tell me what you think.

A Moment to Remember
I would hope that no matter your political persuasion you were able to see Barack Obama's acceptance speech at Grant Park in Chicago on Election night. It was one of those amazing moments in history that transcended politics. It was an inspirational moment for all of us who cherish the dreams of the Rev. Martin Luther King and the promises of President Abraham Lincoln. Every once in awhile I see a cartoon I wish I would have thought of or one I wish I could have drawn. If you haven't seen this brilliant image by Ed Stein, my cartoonist colleague here at the News, I urge you to check it out here. It is a fantastic example of an editorial cartoon that can capture a moment in history in a visually memorable way that truly is "a picture worth a thousand words".

Jay gets intercepted at least twice. He also gets knocked out of the game while trying one of his head first dives while scrambling. Concussion ensues. His season is over.

Marshall gets used and abused all game long and becomes a head case. He might catch 2 balls all game long once again. It's obvious that there is a big rift between he and Jay Cutler.

The Broncos as a team go into an intense downward spiral from which they never recover.

And of course, through all of this, Mike Shanahan keeps his job.

    Oh, nice work Ben.
It's as though you have ESP.

Hope you're not planning any trips to Veags anytime soon!
