Joe Sakic's Back Pain: the true story

The aches and pains
The news about Joe Sakic's injury was a tough blow to the Colorado Avalanche season. He's carried the franchise for so long it's really hard to imagine hockey in Denver without him on the ice. Should he or shouldn't he have retired is open for debate, but the fact of the matter is it might be time for us to get used to the Avalanche without Joe Sakic at the helm.

Mt. Crushmore reminder
There's still time for you to get your votes in for your favorite Bronco to be on Mt. Chrushmore. There's been a lot of talk about Floyd Little being an honorary addition to the drawing of Crushmore. He really was the heart and soul of the Broncos foundation, kind of the cornerstone if you will. Leave your comments. If I get enough of them we'll see what we can do.

Hahahaha this is a really funny picture. But really Sakic deserves all the credit in the world and it really will be difficult to imagine the Avalanche without him.

    Very astute Drew-
I like Sakic and I am VERY greatful for the leadership he has provided but, like Forsberg, his useful time is up. Time to retire, take a job in the front office and keep the wonderful leadership qualities in the organization.

    Thank you Joe!!

WHAT!!!!???????? Over 600 career goals? Probably one of the top 5 centers of all time, and he "sucks"?

He's 39, got his health problems, and probably should have hung it up after last season, but this is a different team offensively when he's in the lineup

You must like people thinking your an idiot to say something that stupid

We can only hope Sakic lands in the front office.

Quanzabot, you've gotta just let comments by people like anonymous (hence the name) go. People just like to make comments to get us here who'd like to use this comment section constructively all riled up.

Read the comments from Anon and you will find there are at least three individuals using that name. The bottom line is they comment to stir the pot and it leads nowhere to insult them.

To all you so-called Avalanche fans -

Try not to break anything jumping off the bandwagon that you rode for so long beacuse of Stan Kronke's wallet.

Joe Sakic is finished. Thank God.

Joe Sakic has contributed a lot to this team, and I have a huge respect for him. The injuries were really bad, especially if this is going to be his last year to play. And I agree that the Avs play better with him on the ice.

Nowhere in your rambling, incoherent post was there any sign of intelligence. I give you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.
