Those Baffling Broncos

We've been through a lot you and I. In the 26 years I've been doing this job we've seen The Drive, The Broncos win two Super Bowls , The Avalanche win two Stanley Cups , The Buffs win a National Championship, and the Rockies in the World Series. We've seen Denver hosting both the Final and Frozen Fours, two NBA all-star games, the MLB and NHL all-star games the PGA U.S Open, the Grand Prix , the USFL championship game, and the International at Castle Pines. We've seen Elway and Tiger and Melo and Roy and Helton. I could go on and on. Needless to say, these past two decades have had some of the most amazing and memorable moments in Colorado sports history. And I've been able to draw cartoons for all of it. Now how cool and lucky is that? I've been very blessed to be able to draw cartoons for you, the readers of the Rocky Mountain News. As you know by now our paper is up for sale. What it means in the long run I don't know. But I do know this: Denver and the state of Colorado has the greatest sports fans in the world. And I will continue to bring the readers of this paper the very best cartoons I can possibly produce in the days and weeks, and, hopefully, months and years to come. Because the sports fans of Colorado deserve nothing less.

Mt. Crushmore polls are closed. But there's Fun Stuff is on the way
Mt. Crushmore voting has been tallied . Be sure to check out how the voting turned out HERE. I'll be drawing Mt. Crushmore next week and it will be published in the Rocky on Friday, December 12 and available for download on Friday as well. On Monday, December 16 we'll start the Twelve Days of win, lose & Drew, a look back at the year in cartoons that you can vote on. Those twelve cartoons will be in our Saturday, December 20 edition as well. I also hope to have a new animation for you to look at during the holidays. Stay tooned.

    Kansas City - 30

    Denver 10

Cutler throws at least 3 INTS.

Clady and Royal are lost for the season.

Same old Broncos. Barely winning at home against a 2-10 team.

Of course, Bonehead Cutler tosses another pick-6.

And of course, yet another running back is probably out for the season.

This team is going absolutely nowhere. If anyone actually believes this team is playoff bound for any other reason than being lucky and being in the right sucky division, you're nuts.

These Broncos are a sad excuse for an NFL team.

Same old Broncos. They found a way to win against a team playing above itself. Same old broncos, they lost another running back and found a way to win. Same old Broncos, Cutler orchestrates 2 80-yard drives and a 95-yard drive, each for six.

Phillip, wait until the playoffs to see if the Broncos stay the "same old" in your view or mine. Until then, remember, we won.

Absurd. Cutler completes 80% of his passes, leads a game winning drive in the 4th quarter, and throws for almost 300 yards. And he's called a bonehead who can't take this team anywhere.

Great decription of the Broncos this season.

3 games left and they only have to wim one to get in the playoffs. Who cares the division or the record, even a "sucky" team can luck the way in to the playoffs from where the Broncos stand.
