Barack's First day in Office
The Greatest Day of All
I consider yesterdays inauguration of Barack Obama to be one of the greatest days of my life. To finally see a large part of Dr. Martin Luther King's dream fulfilled in my lifetime is just amazing. I did this cartoon as a way to be able to get Obama in the sports section one more time in a historic edition of our paper. I'm thankful that we finally have a president in office who is young and vibrant enough that he wants to install a basketball court somewhere in the White House. And I thought what better place then the oval office, the same shape as a basketball. Michelle nixes the idea, of course, which is also my way of saying that she is just as strong as the new Commander-in-Chief.
