That Dallas Maverick

Cuban's Crisis
It was bound to happen eventually. The total meltdown of Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has been a long time coming, not that I'm complaining. His tirade against the Nuggets just made it easy fodder for a sports cartoonist in Denver. The Hannibal Lecter image just seemed to fit.
I know Bobby Knight and, Mr Cuban, you're no Bobby Knight.
Cuban will most likely be fined for his actions which is probably not enough to deter his next tantrum from happening. As an owner, he has the obligation to set an example for his players and everyone else in the Mavericks franchise. There is a time and place for everything and on the court in front of a large crowd is neither. I like Cuban. I wish a lot more owners shared his passion for the team they own (I'm not saying Monforts ...OK, I am). But he needs to show some level of self control before somebody's hook shot connects with something other than net.

Hannibal Lecter is a fiction-based serial killer who dines on his victims after killing them.
Mark Cuban is the owner of the NBA's Dallas Mavericks.
There is nothing about either that has to do with the other.
No. The image of Mark Cuban as Hannibal Lecter does not fit, Drew. This is not funny and not appropriate. Take this off your blog immediately.
Mark Cuban has a legit beef in reference to the elbow thrown by J.R. Smith. Smith deliberately threw an elbow. There is video proof. Just because it didn't connect doesn't absolve Smith of being nothing more than a glorified thug just because he plays pro basketball. Smith killed an innocent passenger in his car, and has since had other traffic violations. One would think a person would learn from something tragic like killing someone, but not Smith. Apparently he's above all that.
Cuban has every right to be ticked off. The NBA and its referees failed to call the intentional thrown elbow by Smith. Now the NBA fails to suspend/fine Smith for the action. Also, the NBA officials in the game failed to correctly call the offensive foul on Billups.
The very next game. the NBA fails to call the defensive foul on Grant Hill's drive to the basket in the closing seconds of regulation.
There is a reason why no one takes the NBA seriously. The NBA is completely and totally fixed. Always has been. Always will be.

What a joke. Cuban gets fined, and Smith gets off without so much as a warning for his elbow.
The NBA and David Stern suck.
The karma the No-Guts have gotten then last two games will come back to bite them soon enough. Maybe Billups can blow out his knee and have his career end next game.

Kurt , the NBA & Stern don't suck, you do & I think the karma is coming after you. Wishing an injury on someone is just stupid!!
Chris you just need to get a life, you seem like you spend way to much time investigating the NBA & it's ref's. They are human & make bad calls every game , so what , it is a GAME!!

How would people here have felt if J.R. Smith's elbow had connected and caused that player a major head injury that ended his career?
I don't think anyone in their right mind would be defending Smith if that had been the outcome.
Smith is a thug and a punk. He killed a friend of his with his reckless actions. He should be rotting in a prison cell somewhere, not making millions of dollars playing basketball.

BrianCO - How would i have felt if i won the powerball? I don't know because it didn't happen, the elbow didn't connect, get over it.
Kurt - I would wish that you'd get in a career ending car wreck but that would be bad karma, hope you enjoy yours (bad karma).
Chris #1 - This cartoon is funny as hell, get off your high horse and pull the stick out of your arse and try to enjoy life.
Drew - You are DA MAN! I love you and this IS a funny comic. I know you don't listen to these whiners but just thought i'd throw it out there.
