A link to 9/11 at last
In his letter of Jan. 23, “A plan for Iraq,” Leonard Muniz suggests that Congress put a deadline of Sept. 11, 2007, on any troop surge.
President Bush should welcome this suggestion. At last, the Iraq war will have something to do with 9/11.

Good idea Jim; however, Bush won't do it unless he hears the Ipod in his ear telling him to do it. Bush does what god tells him to do. The invisible guy in the sky is in charge. r22037@yahoo.com
Posted by Richard Grimes on January 30, 2007 11:09 AMWe loved Saddam. Thought gassing the kurds was a lot of fun, and thinks rape rooms and torture chambers are a great idea. So much for the marsh arabs as well. And don't forget about the ecological disaster that came about after spiking the oil wells, or draining the marshes. Ignore the attack on Iran and Kuwait. Ignore 10 years of sanctions that did nothing but starve Iraqi's. Saddam was a great guy, and we have no business being in Iraq.
Just like we had no business being in Rwanda.
Just like we had no business being in Bosnia.
Or Korea.
Or Japan.
Or Germany.
In fact, I think you can pretty much go down the list and say that the US has ALWAYS been wrong about war. We ought to just quit now while we're behind.
Leftist logic: Hide your head in the sand and pretend your not getting it off with a long knife.
