Oil prices
Monday, January 22 at 1:57 PM

It is really curious that when oil prices rise: congress, the public, and the media blame greedy oil companies but when prices go down the decline is attributed to free market fluctuation.

Robert - Yes, I find that curious as well. When the prices are headed up, there is a conspiracy amongst all those evil "BIG OIL" companies. Calls for hearings and investigations and such. But when it is spiraling down - like now at around $52 a barrel - ya never hear a word from the Democrats. The Democrats never said a word in the 80s when little oil companies were folding up by the dozen as oil prices fell through the floor. No offers to subsidize or assist in anyway. But when the market turns and there is a dollar to be taxed on the sweat and risk taken by others, the Democrats will be the first in line.

Robert and Michael, I would ask only one question of you both. What it the fastest way to get people to shut up, when they are not saying what a president wants to hear?
