Sex offenders
Monday, January 22 at 2:02 PM

Colorado lawmakers want paroled sex offenders to register the e-mail addresses. I guess it is to track their whereabouts. I know that it would be hard to do but why not prevent the sex offenders from obtaining a e-mail address in the first place. I am tired of the state lawmakers shutting the barn door after the horse is loose. Do not let sex offenders obtain certain goals and the internet is only one of these thing. Living around schools is another and working around, etc.

I think that all sex offenders released from jail should be forced to live within a two block radius of the judges homes who released them

Just like the gang problem ,sexual predators are Colorado's dirty little secret.
It seems like Colorado has a problem facing real problems and realities. They try to hide the gang problem until someone famous got killed. They are trying to hide their sexual predators by letting them out into our streets. There are over 6,000 registered sex offenders in our neighborhoods.
The most recent is a known classified " violent " sex offender running loose after cutting his ankle bracelet off. He is armed and has stated he is going to kill the witnesses and judge etc...
Why is the parole board letting these sex offenders out on the streets. If they are classified violent they should not be out at all.As you could see a ankle bracelet is not a deterrant.
It's another dirty little secret Colorado doesn't want to deal with.
The laws to protect our children from being molested or raped are plea bargained or given small amounts of time. Then they are released into our neighborhoods to reoffend. The only sex offenders that get any real time are the high profile cases so the Justice System can say, " Look we are putting a sexual predator away for a long time." For every high profile case their are probably 20 that get little time.
Denver is in a serious state of denial.
It denies a gang problem,it denies a sexual predator problem,it denies an illegal immigrant problem,it denies it's citizen's the right to know what is really going on.It denies it's children a safe place to live and due justice.
They spend millions on museums, theatre's, zoo, beautification, and making Denver a beautiful place.

As long as “sex offender” status doesn’t differentiate between somebody who got caught taking a leak behind the bleachers and somebody who rapes children, no system of this kind can work.

Demanding that all “sex offenders” be branded for life, be monitored, restricted from certain places or occupations is meaningless if we treat them all the same and as though they are all violent recidivists actively preying on the population.

It also makes a mockery out of any sense of justice and doesn’t solve anything.

Besides, we can’t afford it.

A sex offender is a sex offender.Whether it be molestation, innappropiate touching, rape , sexual assault or whatever the courts want to classify it as is a severe injustice to our children.
If a person gets caught molesting a child or innappropiate touching. It may not seem harmful behavior to you it just means that person got caught before it went farther.

People who like children for sex are the scum of the earth. They can't control their behavior and leave a trail of destruction a mile long.If a child is not raped are you saying other sexual acts on a child should be classified as acceptable?

Colorado has millions to spend on trees, open space, wildlife, museums, artwork, and other things to make our state beautiful.Peel back the layer and see the ugly truth about how our children are treated.

A person that hurts a dog gets more time than a person who molests a child. When a child is violated in any way that child carries that scar the rest of his or her life. The burden is left to the child to heal and get help.
It could take months, years decades for that child to get past whatever was done to them. All acts of sexual offenses on a child are acts of violence.

You say we can't afford to keep these monsters in prison.I say we can't afford not to.

Nice try Tracey, but no coconut.
You say “A sex offender is a sex offender” but that means the guy who took a leak behind the bleachers is the same as a child rapist. If that is what you truly believe, then I am afraid I have no arguments that would satisfy you, but I thank heavens that you aren’t the DA.
If, however, you think that a boy and a girl who had consensual sex together before they were 18 shouldn’t both be classed as sex-offenders and treated the same as rapists for the rest of their lives, then maybe we can talk.

You seem to be assuming that “sex offender” means only “child rape or molestation”, and that is simply false.

Tracey says: “A person that hurts a dog gets more time than a person who molests a child”
Oh come off it, it would be considered a really exceptional situation in which this was true. You are just ranting.

Sexual abuse is a serious issue and there is far too little constructive effort being put into the subject, but having overly broad categories that cover such disparate things is no basis for action, and ignoring that fact is just plain ignorant.

Where in my posts did I say if a guy takes a leak behind some bleachers he's a sex offender? Is that a past experience for you?

You know damn well what I'm talking about and it has nothing to do with taking a leak in public, unless the person is stupid enough to do it in front of a bunch of children and expose himself. Then I would have a problem with that.

My anger and frustration is with the courts and activists judges who don't want to put these sickos away for long periods of time.We get this bullcrap they will be rehabilitated. There is no cure for pedophiles except death. It's hard wired.

Let me give you an example of how screwed up this justice system is for the protection of children.

About 6 months ago Boulder released a certifiable, classified violent sex offender. All Dr.'s and case worker's said he was probably going to reoffend, but they released him anyway. They were kind enough to let the people in the neighborhood know. This sub-human was convicted of raping not molesting, but raping a 5 year old girl.He did 7 years time and was released classified as violent.
He was in a half-way house but was out on the streets everyday looking for a job.His room was searched and they found pornography in his possession. Not child porn, adult porn.He however was in violation of his parole and put back in jail. His sentence for having in his possession adult porn? 30 years! Now if that is not the most screwed up justice system I don't know what is.7 years for raping a 5 year old and 30 for looking at legal adult porn!

So the protection of children in this screwed up state has nothing to do with taking a leak behind some bleachers. So if that's your fantasy I say go for it.Just be alone when you do it and keep your zipper up when your around our chidren.
