Unborn children
Monday, January 29 at 3:25 PM

It is reported on Breakpoint that livestock is given more protection from pain than the unborn child. According to the report, the child becomes fully aware of pain by 20 weeks, which is even more intense than the pain felt by a newborn child. If this report is true, then it is imperative for the Congress to approve the Unborn Child Pain Awareness Act for the sake of our unborn children. By doing so, women will be informed of the consequences of their actions and many lives will be saved.

"If this report is true, "

Which unfortunately it is not. Just more lies of the anti-choice side.

So gullible.

Since apparently a zygote is equivalent to a human being, I guess you anti-abortionists( I refuse to concede the pro-life title to people who advocate the death penalty) would be totally cool with me showing up at your door with a carton of eggs from the grocery store after I agree to sell you a dozen chickens. Biology=the study of life, give it a try and you might find that your religous beliefs are just the anachronistic remnants of a religion that should have died millenia ago.

Of course a 20 week fully developed (merely tiny)
preborn baby feels pain when the abortionist's
knife slices and dices. But wouldn't the better solution
be to stop the killing, not sedate before dismembering?
For all you pro-aborts out there that write about zygotes
having no worth - check about www.abort73.com
to learn a little embryology. The baby has a heart beat at
18 days, brain waves at 6 weeks. By 10 weeks he or she
has fingers, toes and unique fingerprints. By the way God
hates the hands that shed innocent blood.

More than 12 milion children have been orphaned by AIDS in Africa in the last 10 years.

Countless millions of children have died of starvation, disease, abuse and neglect all over the world every year.

These are living, breathing children whose suffering cannot be denied because they are alive and right in front of our faces ...but there are no rallies or protests held on their behalf. There are no lobbyists or pandering politicians addressing it. Letter writers like Brian Stuckey aren't sitting around wringing their hands and shedding tears for them.

Abortion has become nothing but a political tool of division. It's the good old "us vs them" story. If you're not with us, then you're against us.

If all these "pro-life" people REALLY cared about the well being of children they would take care of the ones that are already here first! Then they would support programs to teach young people to be sexually responsible which would include everything from abstinence to birth control

Too many people on both sides have lost sight of the real issue - abortion is not the problem, unplanned pregnancies are. Treat the cause, not the symtom! Treat the cause and the sympton will go away on it's own!

Abortion has been illegal and people still got them. Abortion was made legal and people were still opposed to it. It's an endless tug of war and anybody who can't see hot futile it is is out of their mind. The definition of madness is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

And before I get a bunch of people trying to pigeon hole me...I do believe that life begins at conception and I am disgusted by people, women and men, who use abortion as a form of birth control. With that said, I do not support criminalizing it because as I said before...abortion isn't the problem. Unplanned pregnancies are.

As disgusted as I am by people who use abortion as a form of birth control, I'm even more disgusted by the the disingenuous people who cry and scream about the murders of unborn children while doing little or nothing to end the suffering of children who are already here. They don't care about life. They care about getting pushing a political agenda and getting their way.

AMEN THOMAS !!! By the way ...MAXXX .. Have you had a baby every time you've had sex ??? Mind your own business !!!
You know NOTHING about being a woman
who is pregnant and does not wish to be. And of course you don't know her problems ...not to mention ( it can't be any of your business ).

I'm old now, but I will not tolerate... any MAN... telling me I have to be pregnant !!!!!! Nor will my grandchildren,if I can help it !!!

Marge,

What are you yelling about? I'm on your side.

Leslie, How do you support your lie that a 6 week fetus has brain waves? Medical citation please. You can't measure such tiny electrical currents through a woman's body which has so many other processes going on.

"Of course a 20 week fully developed (merely tiny)" fetus can feel pain ?!?! Because you say so? A newborn baby cannot stand, speak or control its bowels. A 20 week fetus' eyelids are fused shut, and it is incapable of life outside its mother, yet you claim it is fully developed. Withdrawing from noxious stimuli is not the same as feeling pain. The higher sensory areas must be able to process that stimulus to experience it as pain. These areas are not developed til much later in pregnancy, after viability when Roe allows abortion to be outlawed.

Make you case with facts not lies please.
