It’s disgraceful that former president Jimmy Carter has been falsely labeled as anti-Semitic for his eye-opening and accurate portrayal of Israel’s illegal occupation and colonization of Palestinian land. In order to perpetuate this unlawful presence, which violates international law, 70 UN resolutions, and the Fourth Geneva Convention - Israel regularly employs excessive force, which has resulted in thousands of innocent Palestinians deaths in the last 5 years alone. In the recent war with Lebanon, and in violation of the Geneva Convention - Israel dropped phosphorous and cluster bombs on civilian targets, which even the United States has criticized. While Iran is lambasted for it’s nuclear enrichment - legal under the auspices of the NPT, which it is a signatory of - Israel and only 3 other countries refuse to sign this treaty, while Israel with it’s 200+ nuclear weapon arsenal refuses to allow IAEA inspections. Israel commits flagrant acts of terrorism no different than its enemies - but uses its military, the IDF to do so for the insidious purpose of perpetuating an illicit colonization of Palestinian land Israel has no legal or moral right to occupy.

Thanks for your comments Greg. Colonization is the correct word to describe the confiscation of Palestinian land for Israeli "settlements". There is no bill of sale. No transfer of title. Nothing that would be recognized as a legal transfer of property in a court of law. Thanks again. You'll probably be denounced as anti-Semitic for pointing out the obvious.

Semitic semantics: Jews AND Arabs are Semites. Jews have commandeered the term and altered its meaning to include only themselves. They did the same thing with the term Holocaust, implying that the genocide of World War II was strictly their tragedy. Palestinian refugee camps, heavily guarded by the Israeli military, are as dehumanizing as the Nazi-created Warsaw Ghetto. As for the never-ending Israeli-Palestinian hatred, no matter which side a person takes, the other side can rightfully label him "anti-Semitic."

People forget about the peanut farmers brother...Billy. Who, by the way was a favorite of Colonel Quadafi(sp) of Libya. The Carter administration swept that under the rug. The whole issue of Carter should not come as a surprise as he bullied Israel under Begin to give up the Sinai. Sadat in his memoirs mentions that Carter was more favorable to the Arabs. Sad to say, my fellow Americans have short memories and do not read anything that is beyon Dan Brown and the like.
