Disreputable company
Monday, April 2 at 1:32 PM

Mike McSpadden of Denver writes:

I am a great fan of the No Call List. I applauded Representative Gagliardi’s effort to stop or at least decrease junk mail. That legislation failed. Perhaps Representative Gagliardi and other lawmakers should turn their efforts toward stopping annoying businesses who stick leaflets on our doors and litter our neighborhoods. One company which is particularly intrusive and obnoxious is Mile Hi Services. Everyone has seen them. They advertise Mile Hi Lawn Aeration and Mile Hi Duct Cleaning.
They hire people to barge onto our lawns and attach their unsightly advertisements to our glass doors with scotch tape. These folks will go through closed gates and trample anything in their path in order to deface and litter our property with their unwanted solicitations. I have repeatedly complained to them and asked them to stay off my property. They practically laugh in my face. I actually had one phone representative tell me they are members of the Better Business Bureau, which is not true. In fact, Mile Hi Services has a terrible record with the Better Business Bureau. A statement on their website says they have “overwhelming positive response” to their leaflets, and a strange explanation for their intrusions says that because they “contract the handicapped, less fortunate and underprivileged", they feel that the intrusions onto our property should be accepted. I am all for free speech and advertising. What I am against is their repeated trespassing and defacing of property. If their company and their business is as positive as they claim it to be, they should be able to afford to pay for advertising. I would much rather have a postal carrier deliver a paid advertisement from them to my mailbox than have the strangers they have hired as cheap labor invade my property. If enough people complain to the Attorney General’s office, the Better Business Bureau, and to Mile Hi Services, maybe they’ll get the message.
Unfortunately, it will probably take legislation to stop a disreputable company like Mile Hi Services.

There is also another company that was using the Mile Hi name.It is a landscaping and sprinkler company, They had the name first but can't get the other Mile Hi from using their name. They get 100's of calls from consumers not satisfied with their work and then they have to explain why it wasn't them who did the work.I talked to one of the guys working for the other Mile Hi and they just had to change their name because of all the customer complaints they were getting for the other company.

I was foolish enought to hire them. I flagged my sprinklers in advance for them to aerate on a Saturday, they did not show, did not call to cancel. I phoned them to cancel and they still showed up on a Wednesday when I was not home and aerated my front yard. Then they left phone messages everyday and two emails a day trying to collect $35.00!! After failing to get action over the phone I had to show up to their rinky dink hole in the wall office and West Evans to get them to stop phoning and emailing!! My worst experience ever!!! My fault for not checking the internet in advance.
