Bush administration
I’m revolted to learn of the details of the White House Counsel (Alberto Gonzales) and the White House Chief of Staff (Andrew Card) visiting/intimitating a seriously ill Attorney General Ashcroft. They came to Ashcroft’s hospital bed to object to then-acting Attorney General James Comey’s refusal to sign an extension of Bush’s warrant- less wiretapping program. These are the men who have helped lead a political party into becoming the most morally reprehensible group of human beings.
Another thing that is sticking in my throat is the way congressional Republican Party leaders are acting all surprised this has happened. Maybe they didn’t have a direct hand in the dictating and deciding, but they are members of the group who decided and dictated their way into this horrendous and morbid quagmire that is the government of The Untied States of America.
Half of you are asking ‘How did we get here?’. And the other half know how it happened. Maybe we ought to listen to moderate reason instead of polarizing hogwash, America needs common sense right now.

You let a guy steal a couple of elections, bad things happen
Posted by BeBop on May 22, 2007 01:59 PMYou want common sense? And "moderate reason"? In the Republican camp?
What Galaxy did you say you came from?
Posted by Old Grouch on May 22, 2007 02:08 PMBut Clinton did it.
Posted by on May 22, 2007 02:26 PMRon Paul for President.
Posted by Jay on May 22, 2007 02:39 PMNext election, look at http://www.wrmea.com
to see how much campaign contributions each candidate gets from AIPAC, a de-facto foreign lobby that has purchased most of the congressmen and Senators in the U.S. Vote for somebody else.
Stop with this "common sense" which is merely a collection of a human's bias and prejudice. Stop it. Me, your friendly deicide.
Posted by Richard Grimes r22037@yahoo.com Risen Ape if not Proud Fallen Angel on May 22, 2007 04:17 PMI have a question for those on the "left" that are anti-Bush and the same for those on the "right" that were anti-Clinton.
Do you see the hypocrisy in your stance on whichever person you were/are anti?
The "left" likes to call Bush a "liar" and the "worst administration ever." The right called Clinton a "liar" and "blew whichever way the political wind did."
I would think that we can disagree with political stances, but we must attempt to understand where those philosophies come from, and how we can again work together with respect instead of pointing fingers and saying "I would do this different," but not how.
Posted by Dan2 on May 22, 2007 04:55 PMWhere is the almighty energy policy Mr macho texas man was supposed to implement seven years ago?
Why did he shirk his military duty when many of his classmates from flight school went on to fly combat missions over Route Pack 6? At least Kerry put his neck on the line in Vietnam... where was Bush?
Why did it take his brain seven minutes to kick in after being told of the attacks on the WTC? Too much coke in college? Too much booze?
Why no leadership at the VA whose hospitals are in disrepair? Sad to see our armed forces suffer under this character.
Bush is an incompetent empty suit. If he had been president in October 1962 Mr Macho man would have listented to his war camp and none of us would be here today.
The USA and world will be far better off when he leaves office.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED? LoL
Posted by American Patriot on May 22, 2007 05:25 PMWell written Jerry
and
Bush has to go. What a disaster. This is a perfect example of a liar and phoney
NEWSFLASH--wars don't go as planned when the enemy gets involved. You Bush haters are at it again, the man has done nothing wrong but instead, does what he thinks is right to protect our country, our economy and our future. The democrat left has been nothing but a bunch of obstructionists. Their excessive "congressional investigations" are nothing but a concerted effort to find dirt on the president. The left has hated Bush since he WON the election which the left claims he stole, that's what this is all about..why the democrats lost when all those dead democrats were ressurected in time to vote? The real enemies in this counrty are terrorists and the left period. Both have the mission to divide and destroy our great country. Critiscisim of our presdident is one thing, the hate the left spews is another and speaks to their truths..they hate the country, they hate capitalism and they hate Christians...period.
Posted by tt on May 23, 2007 06:45 AMYeah all we have to do is remember who put us there...GOOD POINT..THE TERRORISTS DID REMEMBER?? When muslims drove airplanes into our buildings and things started blowing up things changed. You Bush haters make me sick, your hatred of GW keeps you from seeing what's really going on, it's simple, Muslims want to kill us, Muslims want to destroy the USA (so does the left for that matter), we are fighting Muslim extremeists..over there, to keep us safer here in the future...so if you want to blame anyone, blame the terrorists who are the reason we're there. I guarantee you, if there wasn't for mulsim terrorism we wouldn't be there.
Posted by tt on May 23, 2007 07:03 AMthe left, the decay of our society by the "liberal" pacifist thinkers who are more concerned with gay rights and world peace are nothing but obstacles to peace and freedom which are things we have to fight for. Without a stable middle east, or if we were to allow radical islam to grow, we risk everything the left claims they want. We need to fight the enemy any way we can, not allow them to regroup, plan and make it easy for them to strike again. the left in this country are the problem, and they appear to be siding with the enemy we fight..the enemy within..don't expect any respect from me you cowards.
