Carrie McCandels get only forty-five days in jail and probation? Seems to me that this is less then a slap on the wrist for messing with a under age person.

The common view in cynical circles is that she got a light penalty because she's hot. There may be some truth to that; she might have earned a longer sentence if she were less attractive. It has also been said that the penalty would be far worse if the situation were one of a male teacher and a female student, all other factors being the same.

I believe this in much the same way that I believe that the sun rises in the east.

If I were 17 years old again, and a hot teacher like Carrie McCandless wanted to boink my brains out; would I refuse? Hell no! Would any of the guys I went to school with turn down the opportunity to roll in the hay with Carrie? Hell no!

The 17 year old in this case knew full well what he was getting into (pun intended), and if he would have kept his mouth shut instead of bragging to his buddies, he could have enjoyed her "Gates of Paradise" (Google the term) more often.

What Carrie did was stupid in more ways than one; but the kid wasn't the naive teenager as portrayed in the media.

When you get out Carrie, look me up so I can live out the school boy's fantasy of boinking the hot teacher.
